A lot of this album brought tears jumping to my eyes. Soil II is such a gem of a song for long term fans. I felt I was back in early college when I discovered CP. Definitely hits hard in a different way 😭 Mirrors and the closer are just top tier songs for the genre. Loved the cleans and END influence here

dude same!!!! Soil and Witness were my two first Counterparts tracks. This was when the album TDBHAH came out like a month after and I've been hooked ever since.

Album of the year for sure. Their last 5 albums may be the best 5 album run I’ve ever heard from any band or artist ever. Every one of those albums are perfect and some how each one has been better than the previous. Tears were shed.

Brendan has always been a fantastic lyricist and vocalist, but he dialed it up to 11 for this album. He’s cleans sound so good and I love when he incorporates the highs like you’d hear from END. This is my easy AotY so far

My first Counterparts album and I am impressed! Love how much emotion he can pack into his vocals, riffs were really interesting and loved the chuggy parts too! Like you, will need to read along with the lyrics next time, especially for "Whispers of your death" to try and catch the meaning (I'm assuming it's sad). Overall loved it and likely will be in my top 10. Interested to see if it has your number 1 spot at the end of the year!

When hell and home came out, my grandfather was diagnosed with alzheimers and dementia so when I heard Ghost that hit hard. when Tragedy release my grandfather was slowly fading away and when I heard Solace that hit even harder. Idk, this band just knows how to perfectly encompass those kinds of emotions and part of me wishes humans never have to deal with them. Years later, the boys are still putting out songs with the same emotions but still feel fresh. Eulogy was so god damn good 😪
