He went on to give the toxin to the rest of the bat-family and even gave it to superman as Bruce watched him rip apart Lois Lane and his Son, laughing all the way. And thats just his introduction, as he has a bigger plot to play in the Dark Multiverse event in DC called DC Metal.

The visor is actually made up of a special metal called "Dark Metal" which is only found in the dark multiverse. It is said in the comics that BWL can sense people's urges......the visor helps him to concentrate his senses to pinpoint only those things that he wants to see.......kinda like how bats in real life use echo-location to understand it's surroundings and catch it's prey.
