it is sad, I am from the north (Denmark), I haven't voted for Sweden since 2012. All of their songs is pretty much the same, they aren't the country who takes risks that often.

If Eurovision were a school project Sweden would be like the kid who loves school so much, while some other kids just laughs it off and thinks it's just a joke, and doesn´t even pays attention. She plays school at home, she help writing like at least 10 of the other kids projects, help them with their presentation, is there for them on presentation day and backs them up. She´s like the Hermione Granger, seemingly being at several places at once. So, her hard work is often appreciated by the teachers, which some of the other kids doesn´t like, so they keep bullying her, calling her the teachers pet, and being very mean, no matter what she do. But she keeps doing their homework for them anyway, because she loves school so very much. Saying "Sweden doesn´t really do anything", when talking about Eurovision... that´s like saying "The Brits don´t like tea", or "Pizza isn´t from Italy", or "There are no bears in Russia"...

This is quite the fun experiment! I like thinking Eurovision countries as if they were high school stereotypes. --Azerbaijan always tries to mimic the cool kid (Sweden); Georgia is the artsy one who does something new everyday and rejects Sweden; Armenia is somewhere in the middle. --I imagine Italy as the cool kid who acts nonchalant on the outside, but does really well when it comes down to it. --France always has to keep their own style and tries to get people to do the same. Puts out something thoughtful from time to time and has a problem with Sweden due to one incident...People seem to romanticize them a lot, however, and they like seeing the world! --Ireland frequently reminisces on the glory days, and approaches today's problems with the same approach. Results do vary. --As for Turkey--I imagine it as a student who is neglected in the beginning, but starts showing off their talents more and just when they get acceptance from the popular kids...they leave. --If Poland doesn't get attention from the teachers, then Malta is the teacher's pet. --Serbia leads the Balkan clique, but seems to only know one kind of technique that works well for them. --Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have had hard times to start with, but worked hard and are close to leading the class. --Russia has a nasty background behind them and people like to hang it over their faces. To make up for it, they go over-the-top with their projects and have a loyal group of friends who enjoy it. --Belarus always clings onto Russia for support, while Ukraine has a on and off relationship with them. The latter is very ingenious, but prone to being a bit bratty. --Lithuania is that crazy friend who sometimes does the wrong thing. Latvia is their twin of sorts, and Estonia always tries to do something artsy.

Romania: gay vampire opera dubstep and rap-yodelling. The kid that is bullied by others, so he tries to be cool by bringing up unusual ideas. In the end it works. 🙂 but he still has some unsolved dark inner issues 😂

Albania 🇦🇱 tries but ends up changing their language choices when presenting. Armenia 🇦🇲 started great but are slacking now. Australia 🇦🇺 is the new kid who brings really good ideas, but people are still trying to understand her. Austria 🇦🇹 is very unpredictable with that they offer Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 is the new one with lots of good ideas that always work, but never work enough Belarus 🇧🇾 struggles, but has some friends to guide her Belgium 🇧🇪 is the older kid who still struggles to make an impact Bulgaria 🇧🇬 is the one who improves every year which impresses everyone Croatia 🇭🇷 just generally struggles and makes no impression in the group Cyprus 🇨🇾 has her style, and it all goes pear shaped when she has to adapt Czech Republic 🇨🇿magically changed and now is a prized member of the team. Denmark 🇩🇰 always bring something new, and it is sometimes appreciated Estonia 🇪🇪 has a great streak, then loses confidence in himself. Finland 🇫🇮 thinks she knows the project, but actually really don’t. France 🇫🇷 think he can get away with not being creative as he has a bonus Georgia 🇬🇪 is hard to call, but he works best in certain circumstances Germany 🇩🇪 surprised everyone in the current project, then it got cancelled Greece 🇬🇷 is amazing at just being herself Hungary 🇭🇺 do well generally, but he throws a tantrum when he doesn’t Iceland 🇮🇸 can be unique or boring, but they don’t realise it Ireland 🇮🇪 is getting older and doesn’t care as much now Israel 🇮🇱 is a bit of an outsider, but still works well in the European group Italy 🇮🇹 doesn’t care about their extra credit, he is just amazing at everything. Latvia 🇱🇻 just don’t even try anymore Lithuania 🇱🇹 can really make or break. It is really down to him Malta 🇲🇹 is the small kid who has really good ideas but no one likes her Moldova 🇲🇩 is very creative and everyone loves him Montenegro 🇲🇪 is just not popular at all with anyone except Serbia North Macedonia 🇲🇰 recently changed their style a bit, and now has a new outlook on life Norway 🇳🇴 is older but still amazing at everything Poland 🇵🇱 is popular with the students, but that’s it Portugal 🇵🇹 does it their way Romania 🇷🇴 slipped up a bit and now can’t find her feet Russia 🇷🇺 is the big kid who has the rich parents and can afford to fail but doesn’t anyway San Marino 🇸🇲 tries her best, but it never comes to anything Serbia 🇷🇸 has a few friends who absolutely love her Slovenia 🇸🇮 succeeds then fails then succeeds again Spain 🇪🇸 really think they know what they are doing, but really don’t. A bit like their buddy Finland who joined the same day as him Sweden 🇸🇪 doesn’t need popularity to win people over Switzerland 🇨🇭 is really trying, but he knows that expectations are low The Netherlands 🇳🇱 can’t really deal with the pressure, which causes some decisions that make others unhappy Ukraine 🇺🇦 are perfectly happy watching, but like to get involved most of the time United Kingdom 🇬🇧 pretends to be confident, but is actually going through a lot right now. Don’t hate on my country at Eurovision. I know that some people do. We have a lot going on right now and Eurovision isn’t our main priority. I like how every ESC fan wanting every country to sing in their native language. But Hungary sent Hungarian songs 3 times in a row (Origo,Viszlát Nyár,Az Én Apám) and only 1 hit the top 10 (Origo). Even most our songs are Hungarian. Hungary debutated in 1994 and we sent 8 Hungarian songs. Only 3 reached the top 10 (Kedvesem,Origo,Kinek Mondjam El Vétkeimet). That's some messed up thing

It's too bad non of them did that well. Don't know the other two songs, but Viszlát Nyár is a really good song, and it is an important part of my playlist (check it out if you want, it's on my channel). The problem is that it's not mainstream enough. I don't think that the majority of eurovision fans like that type of rock, so it did not get that many votes, unfortunately.

I'm a big eurovision fan from Sweden, and I think that even though our songs are great and all, they lack the "soul" that other artists can show. All our songs seems kind of stale. Idk maybe it's just me though.

Disa Sundström It’s not just you. Melfest as a whole is weak, the quality just isn’t there anymore. Ukraine for instance, their music industry is absolutely amazing in every way. The Ukrainians understand music and they know exactly what to do 🤍

Turkey came only few times?? Turkey was always on top 10 until 2012. After 2012 they just didn't attend. You always use footage from Can Bonomo's performance in 2012 while mentioning Turkey, but Turkey's prime time was before that. I also realised that you favor post 2010 performances but I think older performances were better and memorable.

They get good ideas but when performing on stage, they just mess it up except for last year's which I think was the best. I always see Moldova as the funny one who gives something speciall. The reason Sweden is so popular is because we work so hard. We have a huge contest to chose the best song and performance. And there are song writers from Sweden that work with other contries for Eurovision. That is why Sweden get so many points from the jury. It's unfair for the other contries but when we get high points from both the televotes and the jury then it feels more fair. I have to say that after 2010 Sweden was almost all the time in top 5. 2010 was the only time we didn't get qualified to the final. That feels suspicious. Like someone tries to make sure Sweden always get good rankings in the competition.

Bella .Faleno I don’t mean to be mean in any way, but I haven’t liked a song from Sweden since 2016. These last couple of years have been really bland and repetitive, and all the same generic tune. I noticed especially last year that in the people’s vote you didn’t do well at all but still managed a good score. Hopefully Sweden can step it up soon, and maybe even send a female? This made me think of Finland who sometimes wants to do rock songs for the project (Id imagine the projects are music related) but they're too scared to ACTUALLY do it and Iceland (who does whatever the fuck they want) tried to motivate Finland to do whatever Finland wants instead of worrying about the grade, which is funny because this year Finland had a rock song and got it's highest score since 2006 and I just imagine as a congratulations gift Iceland makes Finland one of those custom Dadi sweaters (who themselves had their best result since 2009) :D Also imagine Azerbaijan and Turkey who Azerbaijan was at one point the new kid and them two got along and started kicking everyone's ass for like 4 years anD THEN TURKEY'S OVERBEARING PARENTS DRAGGED THEM OUT OF THE SCHOOL AND NO ONE CAN GET IN CONTACT WITH THEM AND AZERBAIJAN IS JUST LEFT THERE WITH LITTLE TO NO EXPLINATION- To whoever read my ramblings over a year later have a cookie 🍪

Germany is the Country that either gets a good mark or is failing. There is no in between. Either Top 5 or at the bottom with only some pitty points from Austria or the Netherlands. Sometimes they use the same method twice but that never pays off. It only backfires.
