For anyone wanting to become a real authentic Country Blues guitarist, you can't really do better than learn from Mr. John Miller, he doesn't just talk it, he really can do it in dozens and dozens of styles, he is great.

I guess there are a number of songs with similar lyrics. Like I said to the other person, I thought it was Yank Rachel's "Shout Baby Shout" with one of the lines being "My baby left town and she left me a mule to ride", :)

Oops! My bad. Yank does sing that verse, but it comes up in lot of songs.
