Country Classic Cars - 1987 Trabant Review

1987 Trabant 601S 2 door wagon. This is a very interesting car. manufactured by Veb Sachsenring, this car is most commonly seen in East Germany. It was produced from 1964 to 1990. It has 594CC two stroke 2cyl engine with a 4 speed manual transmission...with a column shift. It boasts a good body and paint. The interior is original. It runs and drives.

❤❤❤ I absolutely love this car and always wanted it as my first car but sadly my dad said no I don’t need a car as old as me as my first car at 16 so I got me a nice Nissan 😢. I’m 34 now and I’d love to buy this but you all are far away and trying to find a house is the first step before I get different car.

About the "Benzinhahn" (Fuel valve?). Z stands for Zu (Closed), A for Auf (Open) and R for Reserve. You normally drive with the valve turned to A. When you run out of fuel, there is a few litres in reserve, because there was no fuel gauge. When you turn to R you can run for a few extra miles to get to the gas station.
