This show ran for 26 years. 2 of those years were reruns. It's still fun to watch. This kind of talent is completely gone from television today. Fortunately we have 24 seasons of Hee Haw to watch any time.

I can remember watching Hee-Haw in the 70s and 80s when we lived in Dothan Alabama. We would all go over to my grandparents house every Saturday night...my grandma would always have a big country supper fixed and there would always be a house full of family...My mom said my grandma loved this tradition and looked forward to it every week. GREAT FOOD...GREAT FAMILY...GREAT FUN. Looking back now I can see why she loved this tradition so much. It's too bad that most of this generation has no idea about the GREAT T.V. SHOWS THAT OUR GENERATION GREW UP ON.

That is the truth, Randy. Your memories triggered memories of my own of going to my aunt and uncle's home on Saturday evenings. They always had Hee Haw on, loved the old westerns, and even named their dog, Hoss. I really miss those days.

One of the greatest gigs I ever had was working in the staff band at the Hee Haw Theater in Branson in 1980. Such talented folks.

I grew up with the Hee Haw show. It's so sad. All of the great stars from yesterday is leaving us. It's so sad and heart breaking if you stop to thank about it. All the good ones are gone.

Roy Clark was a GREAT Entertainer and a MASTER guitarist! I love the man.

He smokes on a guitar. Even at 80-odd years old, he could humble the heck out of us young bucks. Legend.

Good old fashion family tv time. I remember those nights in my bean bag. I'm 38 now and still watch it on RFD TV.

Compared to the utter crap that passes for "entertainment" today, this gem and the old clips of HeeHaw is better than anything on TV now
@hughkingsley86313 жыл бұрын
I agree. I can't even watch tv anymore. If I can't find a channel showing 70's and 80's shows....I go on youtube and watch the old re-runs. Todays tv is a joke.

I absolutely still love this show to this day. Great music, funny skits, just great entertainment. Glad I bought the DVD's one of my most prized possessions.

I used to watch Hee Haw with my grandmother religiously every week. I saw a video on the "Gloom, Despair, and Agony on Me" stint. Brought me to tears, because those were some of the most memorable moments I had with my grandmother. She would pop some popcorn and we would have popcorn and hot chocolate watching the show. I would sit on the floor between her legs against her chair and we would laugh the whole show! I love this show!
@Huskerliving8 жыл бұрын
+Chris Austin Chris, we will never have times like those in life ever. I read your post and could see it in my mind vivid. I would watch with my parents. Popcorn was such a treat during TV time. I am not such a big fan of TV in today's times. I could live the 70's all over again.

Wow! It's good to know I'm not alone in feeling a bit out of place in today's world. When I watch the reruns of Hee Haw, The Andy Griffith Show, and a host of other shows from the 60s and 70's, I think to myself, "If only we could roll back the clock and relive those times all over again." Life just seemed to be simpler and happier.
