This video made me actually cry. There's just something about seeing east and west Germany so happy, reunited after 45 years of separation, to see the confusion in the eyes of south Korea and Vietnam why their northern counterparts are no longer with them. You can just see North Vietnam looking back at the south almost missing him wheras North Korea has already turned his back on the south. In his mind they are already enemies and traitors. And then in the later scene of the Korean war you can see the conviction on his face and the emotion. Two people forced apart and forced to become enemies by circumstances almost out of their control. And then there's Afghanistan and Lithuania, you can see in their scenes how they feel. Like they've just realised their entire life was a lie. That they have been lied to and betrayed. For Afghanistan it's the whole "MuTuAl AsSiStAnCe" bullcrap the soviets played on them and for Lithuania, after the Glastnost, realising how the Soviet Union has lied to them about communism and the other side. And then there's the Soviet Union himself. At the very beginning you can see the cracks forming, as if deep down he already knows he cannot continue to exist. Maybe this scene takes place just after WW2 and the Soviet Union is starting to doubt itself and whether he can really survive in an anti-communist world. And so he realises the only way to stop himself from dying is to make the world a communist world, he lies to everyone around him, all the eastern bloc countries, recruits allies in Cuba and China who stand by him, who even understand the truth of what's happening to him and want to help, but in the end it isn't enough... And finally, the era of stagnation comes to an end...

I gotta say I really like this video that you made. Not only can I tell you put a lot of effort into it, but the combination of the music choice and the timing of the pictures really pushes the feeling of just how significant an event the Cold War was in history and how these two great superpowers competed over nearly the smallest things and how just the seemingly most minor of conflicts was driven by distant powers elsewhere. My personal favorite part is 0:52-0:56; the nervous appearances of South Korea and South Vietnam goes great with the forlorn look of North Vietnam and North Korea's seemingly indifferent side glance as both follow the shaded superpowers in the background just really gives a very personal feeling to the viewer as it reminds the viewer that even with the relatively small scale of the conflicts these both were peoples homes and livelihoods being changed forever. Overall this video provides a very strong feeling of emotions for the viewer.
