One my friends has a college graduate but loves to travel so she volunteers at the largest hospital ship that travels across the world, she works there helping nurses, the kitchen, maintenance etc and she gets paid a little, gets food and a room to sleep in

they not broke they just lazy and don’t want to work… the dude went my highschool. after the video the local holiday manager let them stay for free but then found out they made like 40k from a gofundme and were still lying to take advantage of her. the dude is 27 every store in town is hiring for $15 plus. they lazy and selfish. his dad kicked him out because he refused to pay rent but spent money on dumb stuff. stop giving everyone the benefit of the doubt

For real though, the problem is, it is a liability to the owner of the storage unit, since it isn't zoned as a residential living space. And it is also a fire safety issue, since as a storage unit, it probably wouldn't have the same fire safety rules and regulations as required for a designated living space, ex.: smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, etc.

Yeah, from my experience you can’t escape the dangerous reality of homelessness. I honestly have no clue how my husband and I would’ve gotten out of it without financial help from my family before getting approved for benefits for the funds to pay for things like showers at rest stops or laundry(or once I became pregnant & homeless again, food) so we could look good for interviews and while we were at work

Honestly, just very grateful to have family and friends that can and would take me in if I ended up in this situation. It is absolutely infuriating how expensive even the cheapest housing is in a lot of areas, especially if you're tied to a specific area for work or school. I had a friend in university that chose to live in his car and just slept in different parking garages near campus, and tbh if I didn't love my cat to death.. I consider that kind of lifestyle all the time. Rent is a damn scam.

@@taoist32 From what I read online when I looked up the story they didn't have a car at that time. I don't know if they managed to acquire one since, what with a lack of funds. Even if they got a car there are still the fees and insurance that go along with that. If they are financially strapped it could be an issue.
