In this video we continue our journey into the lore of the God of war series. This was a non stop thrill ride as we discover an older yet wiser Kratos. Aside from the visuals my wife and I were completely blown away story telling and voice acting of each character. Santa monica studios truly created a masterpiece with this game. When Ares kidnapped Deimos, lil Kratos didn't hesitate to spear him, the literal god of war. Atreus with little bit of ego thought he could take on Baldur. Spartan children are something else 😂

During this part of the game, Atreus does not follow your prompts to attack and will attack and use abilities without your commands

A little tid-bit you miss from not actually playing the game; you actually start losing control of Atreus' actions during his "I'm the shit" phase. He doesn't fire arrows at your command anymore and pretty much does his own thing. It makes the whole thing so much more frustrating! Nice reaction as usual

Since you finally saw this much of the story, I can now tell you that as Kratos was on the boat going back to get the blades of chaos, the storm and lightning that occurred was Thor beating Modi to a pulp upon finding out Magni was killed.

What I find interesting, Kratos entered into his ascension in his mortal adult age, now, we are witnessing what it would look like from a psychological standpoint for someone coming to terms with that revelation. Shocking identity. This saga of GoW is so impactful and fills in a lot of questions we may have had in the Grecian part of the story.

@@j.wellington777 - now that you say that….. you might be right! And finding out that Magni was killed probably started to make Thor throw a tantrum. To think, the sky’s are dark for the death of his son’s, but to also beat your living son near death too…. I did not think of the precepts of Thors issues before GOW: Ragnorok. But I still haven’t played it yet since I’m playing on PC. I’ve only watched videos. Waiting for Ragnorok to hopefully come out on PC within a year or two.

The sad thing is you could tell how atreus was gonna handle being told a god. Which is part of why kratos didnt wanna tell him. Just imagine how Atreus would react if he knew EVERYTHING😳. Atreus was more focused on being a god rather than heeding the lesson kratos tried to tell him. And then atreus believes he's entitled to all the answers now which isnt true. Sure he shoulda been told he's a god but that doesnt mean kratos should tell him ALL about his past. Not yet at least. And you cant force someone to tell you all about their pain and trauma just whenever you wanna hear it, which is what atreus did a lot in this section and acted like a spoiled brat when he didnt get his way😂. And kratos is not the one to push

The part where Atreus asking him those specific questions felt like it was also a play on Kratos conscience/guilt..why? Because as arrogant and ignorant Atreus is, he is an exact mirror from the younger kratos when he ascended to the title of God of war hence the saying " it's easier to forgive those that remind you of yourself". Sure kratos has discipline but he didn't care about humanity. Especially in gow3/chains of Olympus and ghost of Spartacus he killed civilians, sunk Atlantis and killed Poseidon's wife needlessly. He grew to see the importance and value in others overtime but before only if it furthered his goal.

To make it more understanding at the 9:30 mark of video, that point of the game, Atreus will not listen to any of the commands the player makes, he goes rogue and if you die he will not revive you.

A lot of people are confused as to why Atreus shoots Kratos with an arrow. When Kratos grabs him by the arm and tells him to calm down, Atreus hit the freshly wounded area that was speared by Baldur. Kratos reflexively pushed Atreus away which hurt the boy.

No. Atreus did not change the weather once he got mad. The gods found kratos after his protection rune rubbed off in tyrs vault. And after knowing it was the very one that killed thors favorite son, Thor was furious and demanded modi go after them. Also the thunderstorm that happened while retrieving the blades was thor beating the living shit out of modi for failing. To the point where he can barely speak or stand as youve seen. If his fight with the world serpent could be relt through the realms. Thor beating his son can definitely be felt. (also explains the red clouds with it.)
