Seen this so many times, had on vhs , but it made me cry today, for real. To see so many people on KZbin 30 years later reacting to their music is really something. As many music industry people have said, Pantera carried the flag for heavy music in the 1990s when metal & hard rock seriously took a back seat to grunge & alternative. But they also took it to a-whole-nother-level, and inspired a lot of bands that came after them. They set the bar high, they set the tone.

@johnsambo9379 Pantera existed before Phil as well, it took all of them to make pantera what it was.
@EnkiSvohden Жыл бұрын
@@johnsambo9379 Vinnie was bitter about how his brother died, which had nothing to do with Phil either way you want to slice it. Phil also tried to make amends with Vinnie before he died and Vinnie wasn't having it. And no, just because the line-up has changed doesn't mean it isn't Pantera anymore. You're just stuck in the past.

Started listening to metal in 1981 but Pantera was my favorite band during the 90s. Got to see them live once and they were amazing. Dimebag was and still is one of my favorite metal guitarists and such a nice guy, I was devastated when we lost him. Bought two of his signature guitars after his passing even though I don't even play, a cheap Washburn Dime 332 and a Dean DimeBag Far Beyond Driven Tribue ML.

The person that killed dimebag was a schizophrenic that believed that he wrote all of the songs on their 'vulgar display of power' album and believed that dimebag and vinnie paul stole the lyrics from him. That's why he killed dimebag and he would've killed vinnie paul too if people didn't interfere. What Phil said about dimebag was sh!tty but that's not why that dude killed him. I used to think that too until I watched the biography for it.

You two are great. You obviously adore each other. What better way to get even closer than to unite behind a love for PANTERA! I saw them on their last tour with the original lineup in 2000 in Denver, CO (USA) via their Reinventing the Steel tour with Morbid Angel and Soulfly as openers. The crowd took over the venue in a frenzy - overrunning security to enter the pit; it was anarchy. I was up front, but had to bail out of the pit because it was getting downright dangerous. Security pretty much left because they surrendered to the hive mind that manifested via the stage presence of Phil/PANTERA. They opened with Hellbound. The intensity was like nothing I’ve ever experienced from live music, and I’ve been to hundreds of live performances.

The Moscow festival was a 3 day event and had a total estimated attendance of 1.6 million entrants. That's 1.6 million people who entered the festival over the course of days. There's no way to know how many were repeat visitors and how many were unique individual visitors. It's likely that most of the visitors were repeat guests. It's probably safe to estimate somewhere in the 600,000-700,000 range of actual attendees, give or take a few thousand.

I tend to skip a lot of "chit-chat" type stuff in the beginning and end of reaction videos, but as a massive Pantera fan I thoroughly enjoyed this video from start to finish with no breaks. Hope you do more Pantera stuff. FYI, I also loved the Pantera home video things. Lol. I was huge fan, I had all the albums, all the damageplan albums, most of the Phil side stuff as well (Down, Superjoint Ritual, Viking Crown, etc), but I had no idea those Pantera videos existed until my sister's boyfriend at the time showed them to me because he all of them on VHS. Probably because I was a nineties baby and I think he only had them because his mom was a huge Pantera fan (which made her the coolest friend's mom I have ever met). Blew my mind tho. Lol. Anyhow, keep it up, hope you do more Pantera-Phil stuff in the future, and you've gained a subscriber because I had no idea you had your own channel until I saw the Bill Burr video (also great, MORE Bill Burr please), but I noticed your CFH tattoo in the first office blokes video I knew you were probably a cool guy. Keep doing your thing, love it so far. Might consider doing movies/shows, I'd watch you guys reaction to Breaking Bad just to see your Wife/GFs reaction to things you already know are coming but she has no idea about. Lol.

Saw them first in 1993. Far Beyond Driven Tour in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Can't remember the opening act. The second act was supposed to be Alice in Chains, but something went wrong and they had to cancel. We ended up with Candlebox as a replacement. Those poor guys, their music didn't match the atmosphere. I bought an official concert tee at the show which had a huge MJ leaf on the front. My mother was thrilled about that.
