In the first verse Dany sings “The Sun is your enemy today” and in the next verse Pau sings “The Sun is my enemy today” so she plays the part of the obedient disciple. Maybe the Sun is a euphemism for brightness or the truth, but the song generally is critical of social media and media in general and the extent to which it sells us lies. Their most consistent message across all of their songs is Think For Yourself! Don’t be a disciple! Yes more of The Warning, of course!

I think it's the influencer/star/politician is telling the disciple the "sun is your enemy" "you shall remain inside you space" where and watch us where it's safe essentially. We're your friends not enemies unlike the sun.

They already did the live version at Teatro Metropolitan. The Warning has always strived to bring their live sound into the studio. The Error album may be their closest attempt to date thanks in part to David Bendeth. They want to be able to play virtually everything they do in the studio live with minimal backing tracks. Dany revealed in her latest gear rundown on Digital Tour Bus that her Kemper is profiled to the amps they used in David Bendeth’s studio to get that same studio quality during their live shows from her guitars.

You need to check out live versions of their songs. They are SO good live. Especially from their concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. And you can't go wrong with anything from their most recent album fromt that concert.

There is many reasons as to why I say that about them, and all are positive. In a nutshell, they sound better live than in studio, because they want their live sound to be used in the studio, and the end result we hear on the Albums. @@allensaunders449

Awesome reaction! So, the big question is, "Are you taking Ash to see them, live?" They have several headliner dates announced in the UK, for April - just before they head off to Wacken 2024. Of course I want to see more from them. Dave, your interpretation of the video was close. Dany and Pau play Sith and apprentice, in this one. LOL!

those disciples in formation? they're actual TWA members... IIRC, their mom, dad, and even rudy are all in there... one of the things i find interesting about the MV is the masks... DPA/TW is unmasked... then you have the high ranked disciples with full face masks and the "soldier" disciples with just cloth masks... it is a very cool visual effect...

I'm a fan of the warning since 2015 and one song I believe you'll like is "The queen of the murder scene" at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX Concert 2022, I think it will blow your brain out go and please make a reaction of this song "queen of the murder scene" and also comment me if you really like it, and now some facts for you and Ash, I really hope you like them: Three Sisters from Monterrey, MX. The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today the three of them are: - Dany ( Daniela ) - Guitarist - 23 years old, - Pau ( Paulina ) - Drummer - 21 years old, - Ale ( Alejandra ) - Bassist - 19 years old. In 2022 they did over a hundred gigs in North and South America opening for Foo Fighters, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, Trhree Days Grace, and Guns and Roses, and playing at the MTV VMA's. In 2024 they will play at: - Shiprock - Tecate P'al Norte Festival in Monterrey Mexico - Vive Latino Festival in Mexico City - Europe Tour - Mad Cool Festival in Madrid Spain - Wacken Open Air Festival on Germany They are classically trained pianists; Dany and Ale have played SAX in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal Singer. This song is about how social media controls us with fabricated info. Pau, the drummer, got inspired about the main riff in a Canadian supermarket in 2019. She came home, composed the 1st draft on her piano including the bass intro and called her sisters. They were 19, 17 & 14 then. That is why Dany, guitarist, starts the song as an antagonist with "The sun is YOUR enemy today" while Pau picks it up as a disciple in the 2nd verse with "The sun is MY enemy today". The sisters trade off lead vocals as demanded by the script. You can make out the difference in their vocal textures. Ale, the bassist, mainly harmonizes in the lower frequencies with infrequent falsettos as required by a song. The Warning ensure that they play in studio what they can pull off live on stage. So over-production doesn't happen normally in their music videos. Dany has incorporated David Bendeth's amp profiles in her Kemper pedalboard so that their shows sound close to the recorded album, Error. Deep metaphor by Pau "Hate will always be a good friend when the sun goes down" And a hint that this is regarding computers / social media "Your eyes will bleed as you stare at the screen"

The song is about rejecting convention and the need to assert individual identity by opposing oppressive systems. The lyrics warn the listener not to be complacent, to challenge the status quo and not to allow themselves to fall victim to false promises and manipulative powers. The song encourages self-reflection and encourages people to take a stand against an oppressive system and stand on the side of their individual freedom. Finally, the song emphasizes the importance of resisting apathy and complacency, and challenges the listener to become a “disciple” willing to stand up and fight for their beliefs. BTW, they do pull off the supporting tracks live (most times). Pau has everything on a laptop and they all listen to a click tracker (like a metronome in your ear) so that they are aligned exactly with the supporting tracks. Now, how they make these supporting tracks I do not know. In my heart I really hope they record it all themselves, but it may be samples or whatever. I agree that that don't overuse it, but it really does fill out their songs. I think it's really clever that they've incorporated this into their live sound as well because it's another thing they don't need from 'The Industry' and it gives them a produced sound to compete with what people expect from all they heavily produced industry gobbers.

*Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... Dany sings the part of the "leader"... Pau sings the part of a "follower" or "disciple"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear... *XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three others that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
