Definitely check out the version with the Chopin introduction. Not only do you get to see Miyako playing Chopin (which is reason enough to watch it), the sound mixing at the end of the Chopin version is much better with the piano able to be clearly heard as soon as Miyako starts playing. Unfortunately in this version, you can't even hear Miyako playing the piano until all the other instruments stop.

You're not kidding! She's gorgeous, talented and plays any instrument with precision and grace! I love her! ,🥰

10:21 No, she is actually 4'10"! And the rest of your laudations apply! 🤯 On the one hand, it is refreshing to have someone pay attention to this newer Live version of "Swan Song". But, like a million of people will have said, for reasons unknown, the piano was not mic'ed properly for this one. Thus, the 2020 version is still mandatory listening for new emotional experience of this music... and the intro "Revolutionary etude" by Frederic Chopin, performed by Miyako, builds the melodic framework for the whole song to follow. So it is almost indispensable too. :) Listen at your own pleasure, or react again, we will be happy!

LOL.... The tallest of them (Fami) is 5'2", amd Miyako is about half a centimeter shorter than Fami! Asami - 147 cm Fami - 160 cm Haruna - 146 cm Midori - 150 cm Miyako - 159.5 cm
@One80810 күн бұрын
The reason the piano is mixed down is that Miyako specifically wanted to ensure that Midori's solo at the end was heard properly.
@davidtormaschy998810 күн бұрын
@@One808 I thought I read that as well. Thanks for confirming that for me. I mentioned that once and was criticized for it. I know there are other songs where one version is slightly different than another to give another member some air time (pin point on their playing). Miyako is a very unselfish person. Lover her and the others as well.
@bigg29889 күн бұрын
@ If they are OK with that, then I am as well. Though it strikes me as somewhat odd that the sound could not be balanced optimally in this case. Personally, I also thought I heard Midori just fine in the 2020 version. Well, no big deal, every fan knows all those notes, even if they are dialed down! ;)

I went to LOVEBITES' Zepp Fukuoka Live last night!!️ (2025/01/26) When the first song Glory to the World began, I couldn't stop crying because of the grandeur of the song and the technique of the five people. Miyako's guitar had trouble during the 8th song Bell In The Jail, but she gave Roadie the guitar, switched to the piano, and overcame it. She is always calm. LOVEBITES ETERNAL PHENOMENON TOUR at Zepp Fukuoka ◆ SET LIST ◆ ("*"The mark is the song of EP II) 1. Glory to the World 2. Unchained* 3. Scream for Me 4. Soul Defender* 5. Paranoia 6. LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics & credits: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: miyako / both Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan SOLO: midori [guitar] / miyako [piano] ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: miyako & LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020 ----

If you're talking about SWAN SONG, isn't this version better? The vocalist has been studying classical ballet for a long time since she was 3 or 4 years old, so her movements are graceful and beautiful. The main guitarist has also been studying classical piano for a long time since she was 3 or 4 years old, so she has the skills of a soloist. There are many musicians like this in Japan. Some knowledge of history is necessary to understand the meaning of the lyrics of this song. In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, leading to a revolution known as the “November Revolution,” which ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's representatives presented “Etude OP10, No. 12” in Paris. Franz Liszt, a friend of Chopin, named it the “Revolutionary Etude. Miyako (guitar/keyboards) composed “Swan Song” based on this “Revolutionary Etude” and Dvorak's “New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite “Swan Lake,” based on the historical background of ““Revolutionary Etude. SwanSong” is a requiem for the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only Love Bites could complete.

Good reaction ! This only thing is, this video does not show Miyako's (lead guitarist/pianist at stage left) Chopin piano intro that adds another dimension to this neoclassical metal masterpiece's LIVE performance. Asami isn't 5' 6", she is 4' 10". Doesn't destroy your argument though. Yes, Asami controls the room when performing live. Up to the last row of the audience! It's fascinating!

Very good words. That is exactly, why she is "the Japanese answer to Britain's Bruce Dickinson" to me. Exactly his skills: Amazing vocal abilities and front person, and handling the crowd as if he also meant every one in the last row of the audience.

Miyako the Golden Touch. In this version of the song you can barely hear the piano at the end. There is another version of the song not on their channel where you can hear the piano a lot better, plus she does a piano intro for it as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKi2m42kl76Dmtk

Thanks for checking out this amazing band! Miyako has been playing the piano since she was just 3 years old, and picked up the guitar when she turned 18. Her piano skills are truly incredible! If you’re in the mood for another great Lovebites song with Piano, I would like to invite you to check out "Lost in the Garden." kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYmWfq19aJt2r9k Enjoy!

I totally agree - Miyako is an awesome pianist, but unfortunately this version lacks the Chopin etude at the beginning and the piano is sort of lost in the mix at the end. However, Midori's fantastic solo stands out better in this one.
