BigBang is 2nd generation and BTS is 3rd generation. Jimin idolizes Taeyang and it is so great for this collaboration. Their is a live version of Vibe.

Taeyang and Jimin are like peanut butter and jelly. Their voices fit perfectly together and the first time I heard Jimin hit the high note, I stood straight up and saluted. Damn, VIBE is so good.

BigBang is second generation. In 2000s was their beginning. Taeyang is in his 30s, married and has a child. BTS debuted in 12.06.2013. Jimin was born in 1995. BTS is pretty much beginning of 3rd generation of K-pop. By 2017 they began to conquer the global market. Like BigBang BTS come from a small label that they made big. Only Big Hit as HYBE is now big worldwide which BigBang's (former) label didn't quiet manage. Jimin liked to watch BigBang and Taeyang and this is one of his Idols that made him want to become an Idol, too. So he is a successfull fan. Maybe try DKDKTV "k-pop history in 20 mins: from (SeoTaiji to BTS) to understand some basics. It's helpfull.

There is a recent video of BTS member SUGA sitting down and talking with Taeyang - it's called "Suchwita ep. 3" and it's on the BANGTANTV channel. It will give you some great insight into the relationship between Big Bang and BTS. You'll understand that this collaboration - the first between any of the members of either group - was a huge deal for Jimin. The dynamics between the two groups are a little different, because Big Bang was huge in Korea in their day but BTS has succeeded beyond even their own wildest dreams, into worldwide success equal to and better than some of the most successful artists in the world (think The Beatles, Michael Jackson)...but BTS very much idolized Big Bang members as the BTS members themselves were dreaming of their own futures.

There are two other versions of this song and both are good. One is the live version and the other is aceppella. Most people perfer the live version.

They are NOT from the same generation Jimin is a fan of Taeyang since pre-debut And they never once had a conversation cause back then the gap between the 2 were too big, Big Bang was already huge at that time and BTS were just merely starting. So for young BTS reaching Big Bang popularity and meeting and having conversation with them was like a dream. So Jimin was probably inspired by Taeyang which is why he also wanted to be a singer. He's been playing "wedding dress" by Taeyang in the piano for like 8 years and mind you it's the only piece he plays in the piano. He's such a huge fan so basically when Taeyang asked him to have a collaboration with him, I can't even imagine what Jimin felt at that time. I mean to have a Collab with your idol and not to mention they are from different labels and from different generations. No one have ever foreseen this. Not even both of them. 😅 There was actually an interview were Suga interviews Taeyang about this song And of course they mentioned Jimin a couple of times, in which Taeyang had said that he was actually inspired by Jimin to work harder and do better And he admitted that he is quite a hard worker himself but when compared to Jimin he has nothing else to describe him other than "scary". 🤣 Cause Jimin is just on different level and Suga admitted repeatedly that Jimin is in fact not at all talented. But that wasn't an insult, it was a actually a huge praise cause that just means Suga aknowledge Jimin's hardwork, and does not attribute his current singing skills and dancing skills as mere inborn talent. Anyways, I was really laughing out loud when Suga revealed to Taeyang that Jimin was actually a dancer and not a singer. So Taeyang was quite shock, cause it probably never crossed his mind when collaborating with Jimin that Jimin isn't the main vocalist of BTS but the main dancer instead, considering Jimin's vocal skills. And I call that hardwork, Jimin's the only member in BTS who never received a proper vocal lessons and the fact that he can sing that well speaks volumes to all his efforts and hardwork on improving himself.

Guys some constructive feedback for your reactions. This is not meant to be mean. Most of the times you pause right before the beat drops or right in the middle of a sentence/word and I can't help it, but it gets kinda annoying after some time. Maybe you can wait until the verse is over or you can just go back 5-10 seconds before you resume the video after pausing. Other than that I really enjoyed all reaction I've watched of you. Keep them coming. 🙃 I'll also recommend you a pretty recent BTS song, since you did not yet react to one and it's called "RUN BTS" (not "Run", that's another song), there's only a live performance and the dance practice, but both fire as hell.. 😁💜
