Believe it or not, I had a similar experience. No seizures, but I delivered surprise twins, at home, a boy and a girl. They're 35 now. Well and healthy. Glad everything turned out well for this couple, too. Great story.

My mother kept telling her MD there was something wrong during her last pregnancy (1958). There was something wrong - there were 2 of us. The Dr only heard one heartbeat (pre Xray days and ultrasound days). No one figured it out until the second child (me) arrived.

Wonderful happy ending. I had surprise twins in 1971, “wake up please, there’s another one in there” I heard those words after birthing a son after a long night of labor. Twin identical healthy boys 6 lb 1 oz and 7 lb 3 oz.

I was born in 62. No ultrasounds back in the day. So they delivered me then the doc says " Oh look, we have another one!" I had my birthday all to myself for 4 minutes, then my identical twin sister came along. They told my dad "Happy Father's Day sir, you have twin daughters!

This is a TV program, aired in Australia. For that matter, there are free clinics and other options for those with no health insurance. Within the last 2 weeks, I was in a clinic and listened in as a family was checked in. They had no insurance. They were not turned away.

No twins just Mag and Pitosin, twenty eight hours and twenty five of them vomiting bile and blood finally delivered a gray baby that had four doctors for her and seven doctors ready to do open heart surgery on me plus my mom, and the rest of the staff. My daughter was gray because she had her cord wrapped around her neck. Heart wrenching at best because my BP was 200/150. That was 35 years ago.

As they said, the man lost his job and likely the woman is either not working or she might be a freelancer who usually depends on her husband's insurance. Since they don't have insurance, they can't afford doctor's appointments, much less additional procedures. They probably had to take out massive loans for this ER trip and all the subsequent procedures.
