21 years ago, we went for our first multi-week road trip down under. Now, 4 kids later, we all love driving holidays, twice driving around east Australia and 9 times in different parts of Japan...both in Winter and Summer. Highly recommended for couples and families alike.

Go rottnest island and rent a bike unless you are a big fan of walking. Its a nice place and you can go to quokkas, they are friendly but try not to carry them, they bite.

I always sleep in the car But we had a school trip to Penang for a competition (from KL) and my boyfriend had to driver cause the school driver was unavailable and no one knows how to drive a manual car. So I sat at the passenger seat, for the first time in my life, I sleep so little on a car and was busy assisting and navigate him. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Note that i have motion sickness, I can’t stare at the screen for a long period, but I did it TT
