Escape Reality christianity is not a religion Christianity is the truth. Religion is just a bunch of rules and regulations and norms that can be obeyed without Love. A religion can be practiced without Love. But the truth can not be practiced without Love. That’s what makes it different. I could go to a mosque and impersonate them and go up the ranks real quick. But try that with genuinely real Christians, The Holy Spirit will spot you and alert them. You can’t fake it when the Holy Spirit is looking at you. That’s the difference between the truth and religion, The requirement is Love and the Holy Spirit. Satan knows the Bible verbatim, but he’s spotted a mile away when the Holy Spirit raises the alarm.

Not really because the kids will start asking questions on why do you dislike my mum so it's better that they keep them away from the Grandparents then keeping them around them and picking up and seen their behaviour towards their parents so you really just saving them to be honest so now I don't feel sorry for the kids because the kids will never know what's coming because the mother has protected them if you can not respect the mother then it's wrong that they see the kids can't be playing up and down with the kids and not respecting the mother out of order and time is precious so it's wrong that she has to be around that type of surrounding while they're running up and down with the kids but disrespecting the mother in a cold manner way

Exactly, that's the reason b/c of in-laws hated feelings, cause someone took their child away and they no longer need them as much, which is wrong. The child still needs the support and love. Parents are afraid their child will forget about them. God knew why he had to address this cause if married and still under parents approval, no one will ever grow up and be a responsible adult.

I agree. My super christian, extended family have abandoned other family members who are not Christian, for no reason whatsoever. Every family function (like weddings, milestone birthdays etc.) they have always had a church excuse (eg. hillsong concert/bible study/band practice) for not attending, just because we are not christian. But they go to all church functions at a drop of a hat and even drive an hour and a half away to church, 3 times a week, even though the members are not blood related. They never visit family that are 5min from their home or any family functions that are within half hour from them, even when invited several times... Just shows how hypocritical and judgemental some Christians are.
@DylanBegazo6 жыл бұрын
Jo Amor As a real Christian, they should go out there into the world and be lights therefore they should go visit your events too. They need to be lights. Humble modest lights but bold when they need to. They should not huddle together so much like how you were saying. That’s too much salt in one place. Got to spread out over the food you know? Not all of it in one spot. Humble lights man. So I agree with you. Christians are supposed to be warriors. Soldiers. Fighters. Not scaredy cats huddling and acting like Pharisees.

Puro Religous people and Atheists are weird. Non religious people can be just as weird or weirder too. Lots of serial killers on the west coast of the United States in states like Oregon and Washington state who didn’t believe in a after life had pretty weird ways of expressing their feelings towards this life they’ve been given here on earth. Tons of Hollywood actors who aren’t religious have done very very weird things in their private lives and domestic lives and public lives too. So... Nice to meet you... Captain Obvious. Charlene Carmon---Be careful, sis. Many times, women who say they don't need closure really do, but are in denial. Once you've been in denial for so long, you actually start to believe it. Lack of closure will cause you to stay angry with people and harbor unforgiveness in your heart, which will lead to bitterness. I have a sister who swears up and down that she doesn't need closure. She is so bitter and she's angry with the whole damn world. She'll snap off on people over trivial things, because she's really taking all of the bitterness in her heart out on the people who didn't hurt her. Everybody needs closure. If you choose not to get that closure for whatever reason, trust me, it will affect you in the long run!

Yeeeees, parents dont dislike your partner for no reason mostly, there must be something big that happened before they married or during their marriage, and parents feel like their son is way better to be someone like that regardless. I need well articulated back story on this case. I dont trust the son and wife confessions... I need to hear the other side of the story from the parent. The one sign i knw that these two is hidding something is that when the son said i cant confront my parents, its clear he cant because they give him the truth and he dont want to face the truth. Thts it.

Not always my exs family were horrible to me. They had a warped way of thinking and i warped as everyone ive spoken too and has physically seen how they are uses that word Mental health wasnt dicussed its like they didnt believe in it. Unless youd gone threw something they deemed bad enough. Or was severe enough like aspergers ect. I have adhd and anxiety. I was told i play on it and that i should deal with on my own. Was told that no wonder there brother used babe station im a burden.i was actually going threw a lot of health issues down there sex was excruciating stopping hald way threw resulted in him yelling st me to get it sorted. Adhd was somthing only kids have and you can grow out off that its my perents fault that i haven't grown out of it. He had a second job and made it clear it wouldnt drive 15 minutes to me at weekends so i had to stay at his. Instead of telling him to quit his job or make the comute when they made it clear that they didnt like we staying on a friday and saturday night up in the room out of there way might i add they expected him to choose the job and not see me. As payment i was to get up on saturday n sundsy at9 am and clean the house. Exact words we go out on Saturday and sunday and wed like you to hover the house. Tidy up any mess weve left in the kitchen. Hang out there washing do there washing. Fun fact i would wash the dished and clean the kitchen after dinner which i never asked for but was alway told theres always some left anyway. I would ask if i could do my laundry in there machine but if they had any i would seperate into the correct piles and wash them together ie there white and mine and so on. Id also hand it up and fold it and place it on there bed. I never asked for anything asked before i made things as simple as tea if theyd like anything. I always kept the tv low and when they went bed at 8 id make an effort to be extra quiet with any movements and use headphones if watching somthing. His room was never messy. they called me lazy cos i slept in with there son as i too would stay up untill he came home at 4am due to my anxiety cause i troubked sleeping unless he was home save. They knew this but still expected me up at 9am. They also didnt take into consideration that my adhd means my brain works harder and that my week at college can take it out on me. And ive got proof from my doctor stating i need more rest then most. Were are my perents u may ask. Stupid 19 year old me decided to move hrs away from home to be with ex due to distance and family issue on my side that genually nothing to do woth him as he was great to begin with any way yeap. So during the week i also lived on my own and aswell as going college had to deal with the other live aspect which adhd people also struggle with. Im now free from him and his family as he choose a night out with work instead of being there for me after my op. Yeap my op fell on the same day that he had a night out with work. Im lucky my mum was there to take care of me. Ass whole thought it was ok to come back at 4 am even tho we asked him to come back at 2am. Didnt text me. Gets blind drunk. When told to go back to his own house as my mum needed sleep he ignored her then come back at 4am and then trys to turn it on us. Why didnt he have key you ask well student accommodation has fobs that work the doors and kitchens. Meaning i cant give him the fob or i wont beable to access my kitchen. Moral of my story sometimes they dont need a reason they just hate you

We don’t even know why they haven’t liked me from the beginning. After 2 years of the bs I stood up for myself and us. They wasn’t good.he told them not to invite him if my son and I were invited. For 1 year they continued to invite him and he just didn’t reply. I knew right then how much he loved me! For him to be willing to just walk away from his family bc they didn’t accept me told me right there he was in love with me and no one can break that bond.The WHOLE family has followed. They still won’t talk 2 us or invite us to things.We went 6 years without hearing from Gus parents.To see his kids they would call his ex. They didn’t come to the wedding we had in MX, they were invited. They booked their room then cancelled it...smh...They give up there son because they didn’t like the person he dated.🤦🏻♀️We have 4 boys we could never do that!So I want to know the outcome too!!!

Probably the mother is manipulative, controlling, wanting to be centre of everyone's attention and focus. The Father-in-law is whooped by the Mother-in-law. He won't tell her back off. The wife is direct threat to the narcissistic mother. The grandchildren too, as the babies take attention away from her. My take - mother in law is toxic, narcissistic. Son and his own father cope with the horrible woman through caving in to her demands, submitting to her control

God will place an older couple in your life for your daughters. Steve can you please do a follow up. I would love to see the outcome. I will be praying for them.

The answer would be different had it been his parents liking her, and her parents hating his guts, because he would have gotten the "what did you do" speech.

The impact of family squabbles can be huge. You have to know when you've done enough. Walk away when you did what you could but refuse to let anyone destroy your relationship.

Wow. I have a VERY strong opinion about this. Firstly, this man's beautiful wife is a SAINT for putting up with this for so long. She is allowing her husbands parents to see one of their grandchildren. I would not. No way. If my husbands family disliked me for no reason, they would never see my kids again in their lifetime. Secondly, it does not matter WHY they don't like her. Some people have NO reason why they don't like someone. They are just hateful people and they will hate someone for no reason. Also, this is what happens when you marry a passive man. Her husband is weak and passive. That is really why this happened in the first place. His parents have too much power because they know that their son is not assertive enough to confront them. They take advantage of this fact. If this man really loves his wife like he claims to, what is he afraid of? Really. What? He needs to rock the boat and tell his parents off. Then he needs to block their numbers off his phone and never see them again. Enjoy life with the woman of his choice and their beautiful children.

The wife just needs to let it be. Some people arent meant to be in your life. And sometimes its for the best for you.

Absolutely. What if her in-laws did somewhat accept her, she'd probably still feel uncomfortable because she'd know that their behavior wasn't truly genuine.

There are so many parents out there who keep saying they want happiness and good life for their children. However then when you grow up and when somebody comes in your life, you marry and have stable solid family (with or without religion, whatever works for you), great career and all is well in the hood. Somehow those very parents who said they want a good life for you start to create kinks, dents and vacuum in your life by holding out. Why do parents resent their children's success in finding a good spouse, lifemate and love? 🤔

Why do some parents do that especially, after such a long time and then take this out on the grandchildren. It should not be a matter of her or us, that is not right.

The wife needs closure. But honestly.. there is more peace when you dont have the extra drama. If it's not happening naturally you cannot force it. I wouldn't want anyone near me or my family if they dont have respect for us as a family. I wouldn't want my children around/or being influenced by 2 faced devils. Yeah stay away from me and mines.

I'm in the same position as the husband except I was raised in the church. My parents missed my sons first bday because of their personal feelings and knowing my husband will be there. What they assume is that my husband has taken me from them yet fail to realize their decision to put themselves above me, their daughter, and their first grandson is the type of decision that will have major consequences.
@lovedichoreo15299 жыл бұрын
I wonder if this is an assumption about the parents and their feeling about them being church goers. I know James said that he hates confrontation which, let's be honest, causes many issues in relationships due to an avoidance of dealing with any issue, making everything that much more difficult to resolve. Without being willing to confront the issue he can always deflect by saying, I'll just carry on with my wife and children and its their loss. I agree with the consensus to confront, address and resolve the issue. Confronting them about the issue opens up dialogue, allows you to listen to their concerns, fears (rational or irrational)etc and allows you to understand things from their perspective while sharing your own
