I have 1 more tip. Its not just for newbies it's for everyone. DO NOT take someone to the store with you that is impatient. I know that sounds weird but when I started couponing I was 16 and when I wanted to go to the store my mom would come with me. At first I did small deals and shopped at just Walgreens(My mom hated CVS and really didn't care for Riteaid at the time). One day I felt that I was doing pretty good and wanted to do many deals with many transactions and at 3 different stores. So the first store we went to was Walgreens and I was nervous and kind of wasnt too sure about some deals. I messed up on some of the deals because I was uninformed but while the cashier and manager was trying to help me the best way they could my mom was making rude comments about EVERYTHING! Rude comments about what I was buying, the cashier, the manager, and the store it's self. Because of her impatience and rude comments I ended up over spending and blow my whole budget that I had for all 3 stores that night. She kept yelling at me because I messed up. I'm 18 now and I'm now WAY more experienced than I was that one day. My mom still comes with (because I need to her store card to stock up on items) but I now understand the deals and how each store works. I shop at Walgreens, CVS, and Riteaid every week. I know how to stick to my budget and how to get money back and sometimes I go to the stores by myself so I won't have someone always rushing me. So if you dont want to go shopping alone go with someone who is patient or bite the bullet and go alone! It's very calming to me now.

Sara Miles That is great advice. I am trying to figure out how to go alone. I am 60 and I try not to drive because I have bad neck problems and it hurts me to drive. But if I have my husband take me, he tries to be patient, but he does not want to go to 2 or 3 stores. LOL I figure he should take me cause all week he does what he wants, plays pool, helps my sons out, goes to my granddaughters games, etc, and I never complain that I am home alone too much. He thinks couponing is kind of silly, so I am going to keep track of what I save each week so I can tell him. I am on disability, so I figure, if I can't work and make money, I will sit in my recliner and clip coupons and save money. I think it is great that you are so young and are already so good at couponing. This is a skill that will help you all your life!!

Sharon Hladky i do have my own store card but most stores have a limit on deals so i if see a good deal and i want to stock up on that item i tell my mom to come and explain the deals and give her the coupons. Most of the times she offers to pay for what im getting with her card but i always plan to pay for it. lol

I loved this video , all day today I've been searching online , on KZbin for examples and every video I clicked on just basically bragged about the items they have .... but never showed how to... I really appreciate the information. I'm a young mom and not rich financially and I have the determination to figure this out to change my spending ... I want to thank you for the tips, I really appreciate it. I would really like to get into this but the stores you mentioned we don't have. I live in Alberta Canada and when the show extreme couponing came on TLC I noticed that the stores we had started putting up signs limiting everything so people must have tried some of the wonderful tricks. I love this as the stores charge way to much as it is, we are on a fixed budget as my husband is in a wheelchair so I am always watching for a good deal. I am just going to have to keep studying and looking for stores that actually don't have a hatred of coupons......people out there that love to help us "newbies" are just awesome and I am so happy for your videos and others too that want to help. Hi Denise, I am from the Bahamas and back in the late nineties I had friends from Canada who would go e me coupons from there Miami Herald newspaper and it was a big savings. Ummi Sumayyah I went to coupon mom without a problem and was able to print a ton of coupons from a link they sent me. I went to Walmart tho use one of them just to make sure it was legit and they were! It will work out!

WOW !!! Okay the one question I have is... I will cut out a coupon and thinking I can use it soon...some stores will not have that product on sale until the coupon is expired or just about to.
