It's like a compulsive thing that they have in their minds that makes them think about 24/7. It's not something they can stop on their own, they literally make the compulsive feeling in their head win by acting it out just to satisfy their mind and the brain gives him a reward by releasing a euphoria kind of feeling. It's probably the same with murderers and child molesters. Doesn't excuse their behaviour tho. They obviously have a mind on their own, they can choose to act out on them or not acting out on them and seek help
