These children were all so precious (I mean all kids are!) Halgert was very blessed that he was treated so young, Chiari malformation causes adult sufferers a lot of problems. Little Courtney was so sweet, what a little peach! And Jason reminded me so much of my younger brother at that age!

Mc Hobbit “aimed at people in the UK, especially Ireland”. Ireland is not in the U.K. The show is aimed at Irish audiences as it’s produced by an Irish TV company and aired on Irish television and now this YT channel.

My mom has Chari. She didn’t have any symptoms until 2009, when she was 50, suddenly she had bad nerve damage in her left arm. Her only other symptoms in her life were bad migraines until she was in her 30s. She had surgery 2 weeks before I graduated high school. The thing that bugs me is that her doctor didn’t explain the surgery at all like this doctor did. We didn’t know that bone had been removed until a year later when she was cleared to drive again and a nurse mentioned it.

Bit misleading with the Chiari though. Chiari patients are supposed to be careful with contact sports and other things that can cause high impact on your body (like roller coasters and similar) because the herniation can get worse. Surgery isn’t a cure for Chiari, it’s merely a treatment to alleviate symptoms and/or save your life if you’re very symptomatic and/or have severe compression of the brain stem to the point where it can be dangerous. I know a fair few who have Chiari, out of which some have had surgery and they’re definitely not cured, only having less issues. I have a rather low hanging cerebellum myself but not quite enough to be considered Chiari at least at the time of my scan (almost 6 years ago) but I definitely have issues from my neck and base of my skull, along with suspicion of cervical instability. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and issues with the neck or Chiari malformation are not very uncommon in the EDS community

I have a chairi malformation had the decompression at 16 in my case it made things much worse than better. I now have a VP shunt but after 10 years and finally being diagnosed with Elder Danlos symdrome which is lack of collegen in the body so all my tisues are prone to breakdown and dislocation. my man issue is neck problemss . Chairi is nothing to mess with bbut the decompression isn't always the best solution either
