UPDATE: Yes I am aware that this run probably isnt going to be verified due to using a mod not currently allowed to help with minecraft's crashing. However literally every top speedrunner will consider this the world record so I dont plan on retitling or deleting the video or anything like that. To be honest I personally believe it should be verified anyway and it's unfortunate for everyone involved and the minecraft community as a whole. Still show love to drip as this is a very deserved run

this was my thought too, but then, I thought as they were one-cycling, I had the thought of "oh if they 3+1 instead of 4bed, it might’ve been it", but then they actually did do 3+1, and it occured to me, for every little mistake that cost a second, there's so many other things they're doing that save that second back. This is just a guess, but I've seen a lot of speedruns, and while this persons mechanics looks amazing, they aren't perfect like nofear or doogile, and honestly, I think this was probably on average a better example of a time they could've got, and on average they prob stood to lose time rather than gain it

@@hreg5260the speedrunner used a mod during the speed run which is supposed to prevent the game from crashing, however it is not legal in minecraft speed running for whatever reason so the speed run will never be verified.

Out of curiosity, when drip goes through the nether portal at 7:44, why does he build up a couple blocks beside the portal and jump on them? What an insanely fast run.

it's to prevent the overworld portal to be spawned in a cave if your nether portal is built too low, odds of ur overworld portal to spawn in a cave is higher. a few blocks might reduce those odds by a tiny bit, but it reduces it nontheless.

His mechanics weren't great because it was the first run which is just a coincidence. I don't know what you mean by good at locating shit because the over world was free, the nether was free, the rod rates were only slightly above average, terrain was free, and he even avoided the zero cycle because of how nervous he was. I think the real reason we're seeing so many sub 8s now (there are 6 is literally because runners have hit the statistical probability of rolling that good seed and playing it right. I wasn't crazy surprised after seeing this wr pop up tbh.

His mechanics aren’t even bad? Yeah, it’s a little less smooth than nofear or zylenox world records, but even if it wasn’t start of stream, none of this is too slow to be able to get a world record. He’s good. Not to mention the speed bridge is fast and the magma ravine portal is fantastic. Being the technically hardest part of the entire run. He missed the timing on one pearl and made a few nerves related tiny mistakes, oh no.

Couriway, not sure if this was already suggested, but I got a speedrun challenge for you. Minecraft but you’re a Bodyguard, meaning you’ll have to bring a friend to speedrun with. Challenge rules would be you are not allowed to do anything besides fight off mobs, your friend can only punch away mobs and is not allowed to slay the mobs, except for The Ender Dragon. It will be on Hardcore to make it challenging so if either of you dies, you lose (and/or will have to retry). Generate a random seed, you must complete said seed even if it’s bad. The only time you can reroll for a new seed is when/if one of you dies (you can’t die on purpose to reroll). Anyways when/if you read this, firstly hello, and secondly hope you have a good rest of your day.

Ppl didnt really talk about it, but at 3:30 when he goes to the other side of the bridge, there's a split second where (I think) the piglin is very close to coming in the way of his block placement (it jumps but couldnt step on the block). Like if he hadnt placed those blocks as quickly as he did he would've at least taken some damage and could'even fallen down into the lava. Just a small detail of how many small things can really mess up a run.
