I could only imagine the pain and frustration crabs felt when he saw 0 eyes in the portal, especially with such a good start in that rough overworld terrain, props to finishing the run

A one eye portal would’ve ended in a ~6:40 run. Insane. His end fight was 1 minute on the dot and he was standing in the portal originally at 5:33 without beds crafted. Give 5 seconds for crafting and that’s roughly a 6:40

Hey guys question when i use the pie chart and go to the entities part the speedrunners always open, i see like 12 different things, not just the 3 slices they get. I followed the exact same path they use with the root, level game renderer thing but it always ends up different. What am i doing wrong?

I remember seeing this run a couple days prior to this and it was insane. It makes sense why he left the eye in the ocean. He was on such a good pace and going to retrieve it would waste 20-30 seconds. Still a really solid run however. Shows how good sky crab and other runners are able to turn a horrible mistake but still be able to revive it. I think this run needs to be talked about more so thanks to Couri to showing this run to more people!

i think whats really impressive about this run is the potential. Like couriway said his spawn terrain wasnt great, his nether terrain wasnt great, it couldve been done faster and the seed still couldve been better, makes you really think about how much more potential this game still has

new speedrun idea! you know how you can customize what biome it is right? change the biome to deep dark, everything and i mean everything caves, surface, bedrock, stronghold, its not in the nether, but could be an interesting speedrun

1.16.1 this is the version for you 1.16.2 begins to 'nerf' the pearl trade. Personally, the introduction of the Piglin Brute alone is enough for me to think twice about raiding a bastion. After this, it just takes longer to speedrun. Hunting Endermen in a boat in the Warped Forest easily takes longer by 5 minutes or so? But you may have the motive if the pearl trade is near impossible (odds are low enough)

Basically the eye always points to the middle of the chunk and the calculator can figure out the only chunk that it happens in with an exact match
