Hi ,I received my OCT license.I understood about abq course through this video which is of great help but can you guide me on how to choose complementary education courses from the list that’s mentioned on OCT website?For me I have to complete 5 courses in complementary education.

Hi. My name is Parvathi. I am a RCI registered special educator from India. Diploma im early childhood special education im Hearing impairment and Bachelors of special education in hearing impairment are my qualifications. 3 years of professional experience. Currently pursuing my post graduate certificate program in autism and behavior sciences at Durham College, Canada. Which certification should I take to work as special educator in Canada? What are the procedures for that? I wish to apply for work permit after this one year course. What are the precautions should I consider?

Unfortunately OCT does require your Bachelors of education as it’s a teachers license .

Hello Ravinder Hanji you can do Senior maths and apply for jobs for maths only Talking at supply position , you might have to cover all the subject that the other teacher is teaching , again supply notes are there always . Again if you are removing your condition , Oct won’t allow you to take senior maths to remove condition but will add it on your license .

Muskan would definitely advise to have a hold of the language as the most spoken language here in all areas is English and definitely the only way of communicating in schools .

Hello Mariya. If you are in Ontario , please apply for OCT even when you are doing ECE. Answering to your question - If you able to get the part time job in tutoring , would be great as that would be the time that would suit your scheduled routine while in college . Reality - Are jobs there in part time in teaching while on student visa - I won’t be the right one to say as I don’t have experience of this particular situation . Thank you 😊
