I feel like Jon Batiste must be the one picking all the acts that come on the show, or at least 98% of them. He's always, ALWAYS playing music I've listened to growing up at totally different parts of my life, and he always picks bands I've heard of. He's like the compendium of the most underrated (unless you know) musicians of all time. When he comes back I think it'd be really cool if he got to do little sessions with other musicians or bands.

You can say my home town is half-way between Toronto and Buffalo. The Association, a band from the States playing Southern Ontario, suddenly had a hit single, "Cherish", and cancelled, staying in America. Guess who just finished playing Toronto and was was heading back to Buffalo, before he and his band were asked to fill in? The Wicked Wilson Pickett. What an incredible show.
