Hi wonderful folks ! do excuse the size of the video. I had some issues with the owners of the video itself. However the reaction is in full and there are no edits out. Thanks for having your boys back! Lets go!

I missed this performance of hers. The title made me click besides her vocals and so young. First person especially so young that can nail a Janis Joplin song and there are many adults who can not do that. This is the song that Brian Johnson interviewed with ACDC, impressed the hell out of Malcolm and Brian got the job. Love Courtney, Thanks for this one.

Young Ms. Courtney Hadwin has posted a new video of her recent performance of "Piece of My Heart", opening the 41st Annual Birthday Gala for the NY Pops orchestra, at Carnegie Hall in NYC, at personal invitation of this year's honoree, Clive Davis, the man who 'discovered' and signed Janis Joplin way back when. Here's the link, please do a Reaction vid and ENJOY! kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX_SqZVumtqpZpI

Willkommen zurück in Courtzland. Tolle Reaktion.

Hi HAP3SPEAKZ. Welcome back to Courtzland. Great reaction. Unless you see it for yourself, how is it possible that this is a 12 year old with this kind of unparalleled talent. Vocally it's perfect. Performance wise, Courtney just dominates the stage. What she does here at 12 is already the equal of and, IMO, better than virtually any other performer in music. There was a lot of talent on this first season of the Voice Kids UK but, take my word for it, there was nothing close to what Courtney could do on a stage. In all of the early rounds, the entrants were put forward to the next round by the judges, and is there any doubt, after seeing this, how in love the judges were with Courtney, her talent and her music. Courtney sailed straight through to the finals. The finals vote was by the television audience and a very good singer doing a pop song won. Courtney brings a style of music to the stage that relies on passion and emotion and it's a style long since forgotten by many. However, Courtney will re-introduce it to the world. Out of those performing in the Voice Kids UK, Courtney is the one that has gone on to be a world wide star with over 2 billion on-line views and this journey is only just beginning. If Courtney's debut album wasn't delayed by over a year by the Covid mess, she would already be a household name. She was also scheduled to appear at the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, which was unfortunately cancelled due to financial reasons and contract disputes. Can you see Courtney on stage performing tributes to all of the original stars from Woodstock no longer with us like Janis Joplin, etc. It would have been insane. I've put links to the Semi-finals and Finals of Courtney's Voice Kids UK performances. If you think she cut loose in the audition, wait until you see what she does in the finals. Note that due to time limits of the performances on the Voice Kids, the Semi's and Finals together are less than four minutes in total, so you may want to react to them as a pair. There is also a battle round, which has Courtney competing against two other contestants on stage. I've put the link to that as well if you would like to react. Hap, you just made a lot of Courtney fans very happy doing this reaction. This was as shocking and good as her AGT audition. And to see her at 12 and looking so much younger made it even more impressive. She really sprouted in the year between 12 and 13 and to 14 I think she said she grew like 8 inches. The other performances from this show that Edward left links to are also amazing. "And I'm telling you" by Billy Holiday and Jennifer Hudson that Courtney covers in the finals of this show is a real power house of a performance. And as always Courtney does it her way. Very theatrical and with extreme force. The other 2 performances were also something special to watch her on stage. She is a product of the 70's no doubt. Her dancing in the Battle round is just like I remember people dancing from that era. very free form and fun. Btw, the coach in this show wasn't Courtney's singing coach. I think it may have been someone from the show who was there to help calm these kids down from nerves. This was the 1st season and I 1st episode of this show in the UK. So none of the judges were sure as to how to go about picking their kids. They mentioned this later on. Also the show was set up nothing like AGT. Only 300 in the audience in a circle and very intimate setting. The show was meant for the kids to enjoy their time and still make it competitive somewhat. Even in the finals and the winner was picked it was announced that not only was the winner going to Disney Land in Paris but so were the others who made it to the finals along with all their families. Pretty cool by them I thought.

I don’t know what I can say that Ed hasn’t already said. I loved watching your smile as it got bigger and bigger watching Courtney. Your looks of amazement as the performance went on were precious. I loved your reaction. I have seen this so many times and it never ceases to amaze me how Courtney owned that stage. And her voice is distinctive and unparalleled. You would recognize it anywhere. I have been addicted to Courtney ever since her audition to AGT. I had to go back and find everything I could and there’s a lot on KZbin. She had a series of songs she sang at the West Rugby Beer Festival the year before the Voice Kids that were just amazing. If you type in Courtney’s name and West Rugby you’ll find them. Hopefully we will see her album of originals in the coming months. Enjoy your Courtney journey!

This shows where The Voice breaks down. The performance isn't just about the vocals, it is about the excitement, the energy, the vibe being given off as well. Concerts tickets aren't sold based on a careful analysis of vocal talent. Fans want a big production with monster backing screens, flash pots, performers jumping around, and the experience of the event. I wonder how the lead singer for Metallica would do on The Voice (his only achievement is selling out large venues for 40 years but you could argue that other singers are better). Courtney would have had everyone hit their buzzer in 10 sec if they would have seen her act instead of just hearing it.

Here's the proof that Courtney's dance moves onstage are all spontaneous, not rehearsed. When she sings the song a second time, her moves are different. Every move she makes is what she's feeling in her body at that moment.
