It's not the royalties she is after. Kurt has the majority of the royalties. She is bitter about the Nirvana Inc thing where all 3 have equal say on everything Nirvana. She usually gets vetoed by Dave and Krist and that usually results to lost income on her part. Ex. if someone asks to use a Nirvana song for a product or movie. She can approve but if the two decline, of course the deal cant go through.

Also, I doubt Courtney had/has enough power to stop the FBI or Police from doing any serious investigation on it. FBI denied to investigation multiple times. Courtney Love was blacklisted from Hollywood after 2005 for speaking out about Harvey Weinstein too. I still hate her but I'm not 100% she's the suspect.

Having worked in the music business myself, I have seen this kind of arguments between former band members. This is a simple solution: A band is a "corporation" and a contract is made between all band members, just like any business. Most times, if there are four band members (for example) all money made gets split four ways, unless a percenatge is broke down per band member. Royalties are usually paid out yearly by the label conpany/ companies. If one band member decides they want out of the "corporation", they will ask for a single large pay out just so they will not be involved with the band anymore. I have seen this done and matter of fact a lawyer got involved because the one party no longer wished to be involved in royalt pay out.. The deal is that Courtney Love really has no say about Dave Grohl or any of the band members of Nirvana. Courtney Love is surely getting her royalties and I am sure Dave Grohl and others will keep getting theirs as well...... unless they feel somewhere down the line that no longer wish to deal with the corporation anymore and will ask for a large pay out. This has been going on for 27 years now and the band I am most familiar with had the same issue for much longer. The situation I am familiar with finally "broke away from the corporaton" after 40 years later. Courtney Love might be complaining for 10-20 years more

Loved Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains & STP more than Nirvana. One the flip…. Foo Fighters/Dave Grohl is a band that will continue to shape music & cart torch from when there was rock stars. Grohl is the FACE of Rock right now & moving forward. I like to jab & annoy my close friends who love Nirvana more than me by saying Kurt wasn’t even the best guitarist, singer or song writer in the band he was the face of that helped change music forever. Grohl to Nirvana is the same as Ozzy leaving Sabbath. Historically maybe not as important musically. But he’s reached a level of Rick royalty that Kurt didn’t have the chance to achieve. So like it or not, in the grand scheme, Dave’s career is doing just fine.
