It takes a lot of steps to get to that point. 1) Flirt 2) Exchange numbers 3) Engage in banter 4) Take a shower 5) Brush your teeth 6) Get your car keys 7) Drive to an agreed location 8) Park your car 9) Knock on the door 10) Walk in the door 11) Exchange empty greetings 12) Yap about nothing for a few minutes 13)Take your clothes off, etc. (Steps may vary) lol that's a lot of steps to go through for it to be a mistake. A mistake is like knocking over water. Cheating is a whole intentional multi-step process with a desired outcome.

I think daves reputation comes from an authentic place of being a down to earth guy. I dont think he curated it intentionally or ever really asked to be known as that guy so for people to hold him to a standard that they made up in their minds and projected onto him is a little ridiculous. An exqmple of someone who was rightly called out is Ellen. Ellens persona was designed to make her audience feel like she was the kindest most unassuming goofy person so to learn that she was the opposite behind the scenes made her a hypocrite. Dave is a rockstar who got caught doing s9me rockstar shit, end of story. Its also been said he has some substance issues behind the scenes so maybe that has a hand in his bad decisions.

Some mistakes are lot worse than others so labeling all mistakes into one category is incorrect. It's easy to not cheat, if you can't do the bare minimum for someone you claim to love then that really tells everything you need to know about what this person really is like. You can do good things to build up a reputation of a "good guy" but how someone treats their loved ones and those close to them is a much better indicator of their character.

The one good thing about people who want to downplay how harmful cheating is and those who want to normalize cheating is that we now know who to avoid in the dating scene. It's not that big of a surprise to non-casual fans. His first marriage famously ended to his infidelity as well. Funny story, my old drummer had a day job at the time, cooking for music video shoots in Chicago & met Dave while working on a shoot for Veruca Salt. He was there to see his mistress Louise Post, a member of the band, was still married @ the time, & wasn't shy about why he was there 🤷

As for the "We play live jab", he has a new drummer whose played for for every lip-synching pop act to come along for the last 25 years. Seriously he toured, played on records from Miley, Clay Aiken, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Ricky Martin and on and on. Dave Grohl is a hypocrite just for hiring that guy. Taylor Hawkins told tons of people that he was exhausted and desperately needed time off but Dave can't take being out of the spotlight, so it was back out for another world tour. Last thing, he says he loves his fans. How do you love your fans when you let them pay $400 per ticket for so so seats.

Josh Freese is a legendary drummer and never toured with any of those pop acts, only studio work. BUT he was the drummer for The Vandals, A Percect Circle, Devo, Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, Sublime with Rome, Guns N’ Roses, and Sting. Get your facts straight you mor0n!
