Camellia oil is the bomb! I find that applying oil to wet hair maximizes the amount of moisture it can seal in. The brush and the camellia oil together look like they’ll give you great results.

Omg I want this brush so bad. I have very static prone hair, a lot of breakage and pull out lots of hair when I brush and my hair tends to be pretty dry. I might have to invest in this brush and the oil.

I would try the oil first! I think that alone can help your hair a lot ☺️ I’ve been doing overnight treatments with it and every day or so just putting a tad in my ends and it’s helping SO MUCH with the dryness!

Camellia oil is fantastic for hair and the wooden brushes from Japan are very good quality. Using both I think you'll be very happy with the result.
@Zeniiichan
@Zeniiichan Жыл бұрын
Critical thinking: This brush is just like any other wooden brush and can definitely be replaced by any other cheap wooden brush. The only difference with your other wooden brush is that the spikes are sturdy instead of flexible so it stimulates the scalp and that for sure helps with hair growth. But this can be remplaced with any sturdy wooden comb or wooden brush of any wood (santal wood, Neem wood etc...). Woman of so much culture, including Chinese or Japanese have over times used wooden brush and wooden comb other that this one that costs 130 dollars and always had long hair. I'm not sure if this brush is so costly because of the wood used or just because of marketing but it's definitely not worth it. It's not about this particular brush, it's about oiling your hair, stimulating the scalp and using any wooden brush to distribute the oil. Also it would have been better for you to use the brush alone, because yes there is a difference on your hair, but it's mainly due to the oil and not really the brush. The brush effects are more seen overtime with air growth and shine. In conclusion, don't buy this brush (except if you are rich), just buy any wooden brush with sturdy spikes and camellia oil :)

I mean objectively speaking a dense wood is probably the best material for a comb. Good at absorbing and distributing the natural oils within hair, allowing the hair to be more healthy. Tsuge happens to be arguably the best wood for this application, and the Japanese have been working with it for hundreds of years.
@IcejjfishTbone

So wooden brushes objectively are the best, the only thing up for debate within wooden brushes is the type of wood and craftsmanship’s. Arguably the Japanese do both the best

I got a quick question, I heard the Yao women use pomelo fruit and something that is close to it is grapefruit. Have you tried that instead of the orange peels? Does it make a difference? I also love the videos of all of this combo learning how the Yao women do their hair, thanks for sharing your experience! Can't wait to see more! :)
@CourtneyVioletta
@CourtneyVioletta 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah they do use pomelo fruit but I haven't tried that or grapefruit. I used clementine peels! I can't imagine it would have a HUGE difference, but I do know they put "seed oil" in their recipe. I didn't know what that was at the time of filming that video, but now I know its actually camellia oil! So if you make the recipe, try adding that and I'm sure that would make a big difference!

Tsuge Brush here I come and Camellia oil too. Thank you for this. Oh yeah I will get a wet brush too. By the way did you shampoo and condition before doing this or wash your hair some other way? Curious as to your exact method? Thanks again

Didn't you put oil in the other side? Wouldn't that help with the frizz? You should try the oil on both sides whole it's wet to see if it's the brush or the oil making a difference.
