I’ve never heard of this case, such a heartbreaking story. I can’t imagine having someone I love vanish and never finding out what happened to them. I would like to hope that Amber’s sweet family will someday get answers, but with her killer dead, that probably won’t happen. Thank you for remembering her and for sharing her story. I hate that when a family gets desperate enough to call police, their initial reaction is that they are just behaving badly and sneaked off or "They're an adult and had the right to disappear if they want". I know they don't want to waste resources but the consequences of not reacting immediately are catastrophic! What has to happen for police to change their policy on this.

I do literally miss it. I never watched any other case the way I did the Daybell one. Normally they're just too boring to watch the courtroom footage, but I was invested and also because things would come up in discussion later.

It’s tough when the kidnapper and murderer kills himself. That being said this shouldn’t be a cold case. Maybe they can call those special guys that are professional searchers. It took a confession before they found Dylan Rounds 😢

I certainly thought he'd be headed to Kootenai County, where his lawyer lives & is only about 90 min by car from Moscow to Coeur d'Alene. The jury pool is definitely big enough here vs the burden of everyone having to go to Boise, Ada County....

The aunt said that there was certain vegetation found on the truck and a local plant expert knew that particular plant only grew in one area. The mileage on the truck matched the distance to that area so that is where they searched.

9:28 "She was known to email some people out of the country and download some music." RED FLAG. I remember the early days of the internet in 2001. Who knows what types of predators she was unknowingly chatting with and sharing personal information. Or she could've been targeted and catfished by someone local. Very sad.
