You think the attorney could stay off his phone long enough to hear the victim impact statements? Rude and unprofessional.
@glcmranger421

He has his notes for his speech and maybe even his opening statement on his phone. He was reviewing it during the witness statements. Appears rude, but he’s listening. Now his victim blaming is definitely incredulous!

From $6K to $73K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

Just sold a property in Alaska and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe but Is this a time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.

The Presbyterian Church in this local area is really responsible for dumping a ton of responsibility with unearned authority on this dishonest woman. This is where good, consistent supervision is required in order for church organizations to do well financially. Who was responsible for this woman??? Come on, folks. However, this woman should go to jail not only due to the damage she's done to the denomination, but to the unnamed victims who would have received assistance from local parishes, had the funds been there. This is a travesty.

True. That attorney victim blaming was too funny, but that’s our society right now. It is okay to loot, steal, burn down businesses or kill people all in the name of selfishness. This woman got off very easily.

1) guaranteed never to secure employment to generate funds towards paying anyone back with a prison record. 2) while her guilt is her guilt, the church had zero governance and the board should be sacked as their lack of controls facilitated the fraud. 3) employed under qualified staff, had no controls, no supervision….. very surprised insurance company paying out. 4) church on notice that the she was under financial pressure and still no governance/controls. She is guilty but so are the church in their inadequacy.

She took advantage and betrayed everyone. She did not think about the consequences and it all catched up to her. Her lawyer making up all these excuses for her wrong doing but that's his job🙄🤷🏻‍♀️. I like the Judge's tone of voice and everything he said👌🏻. Like the judge said she did not have to be an accountant to know she was taking those funds and misappropriating for her own use. I believe in repentance and asking for forgivenes and hope she is recognizing, reflecting and truly remorseful for her actions if she chooses too.

Yes she is guilty. But to let this go on for so long without anyone knowing shows negligence in the safeguards that should have been done. Someone else got paid for not doing their job to let this happen and getting paid. Again, she is definitely guilty but so is employee who also failed to let this happen. That person should be fired.

They should be imprisoned so many years for so much money. She’s never going to pay that back unless the church stays on top of it during her life since the judgement may expire. They should take every asset she has or at least 50% if married - cars, property, jewelry, 401/retirement funds, personal insurance, etc.
