I’ve always noticed in AAU games every time a player gets the ball they always do awesome handles as if they’re 1v1ing that person. Like everyone on the team does that when they have the ball but in normal high school games they just dribble a couple of times and then pass it to an open teammate.

The size change was an effort to make the game more exciting so women whose hands are usually smaller than men’s could dunk. Of course you never saw a woman dunk a man’s ball in a game since they don’t play with a man’s ball.
