I'm very high on Deni and I think he has the skillset, the work ethic and the BBIQ to become the future franchise player of the Wizards. I feel bad though about the Westbrook addition because it's going to take off him a lot of opportunities to create and playmake. The first year for a rookie is critical, and it will be very hard for Deni to polish his point forward skills alongside someone like Westbrook.

To be honest as an Israeli who is a fan of Israeli basketball I think he has a lot of potential for sure but not that much a little bit over hyped... He never dominated any game (he did on the young national team) not in the league.. And he did play in the euroleage but more as a 7th or even 8th man... Hopefully he will succeed he does have the skill set to be an average maybe even above average NBA player but he needs a lot of work to get there still

I'm not saying he's going to be Luka, but he's gonna be good. Luka is his ceiling... but then again, Luka is Luka's ceiling. This guy has all of the potential! Referring to the league MVP and saying he dominated is absolutely wrong. He wasn't even the best player on the team. He was rated 13th in PER and 18th in points. He was chosen in a political decision - following the big hype and the wish to nominate a local player (best players in the league are foreign).
@CourtsideTV13 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your relevant information, which player did you thought should be the mvp?
@eranir13 жыл бұрын
@@CourtsideTV1 Not sure. The league was a cluster-fuck this year, many players didn't return to play after the outbreak. The best player in Maccabi and the leader of the team was Scottie Wilbekin , so on any list he should be before Deni, but I don't think Scottie was the MVP either. Anyway, I checked it out, and apparently the vote was some average between reporters and the crowd, so no foreign player had any chance against him. If you read with translation, you can see that the internet really didn't appreciate his winning (calling is outrage, disgrace, a joke, etc.): www.one.co.il/Article/01-02/2,620,1212,58381/363962.html

Thanks for your research and answer Eran! The downside of this is that if Deni doesn't live up to everyones expectations and mentally breaks down, he can flop and not become a solid NBA player that i think he could be.
@eranir13 жыл бұрын
@@CourtsideTV1 I think he can become a solid NBA player, but it wouldn't be thanks to his MVP. Being the best player on the league or (definitely) not, he did get a lot of experience playing vs adults. Most players in the league are Americans (higher percentage comparing to most European leagues), strong and athletic, and he had to learn how to face them. Besides, he represented Israel in every European competition, usually while being 2 years younger than most players, and always dominated there. In 2018 (age 17) he was in the first team of the under 20 European championship. In 2019 (age 18) he already won the MVP of the tournament (18 Pts, 8 Rbs, 5 Ast, 2 Blocks, 2 Kidnaps). In both years Israel won the championship. I believe the level in such championship doesn't fall from the level of college basketball as a whole (probably not top 8, but on average), taking into account that most countries send their best under 20 players.

Steal of the draft! No weakness in his game. He needs to bulk up a bit though. He will go down as the best player in this draft.

Well he does have some weaknesses. Man on man he has very happy feet
@Johnnyyoo3 жыл бұрын
@@londonrd well I see someone with a unique skillset, something you cannot teach. The man is 6'10 that can run the offense, play good D, and can handle the rock like a guard. The consistent shooting will come in time. He can also create his own shot. He just needs to bulk up and the skies the limit for this young kid.

The Wizards got them a gem. Up to them how well he will be developed. Problem is: where Westbrook walks, No grass is growing. That's a big concern

where you walk nothing grows. thats why there still are crops. because youre too fat to walk
