The jury got this case like 90% right. I don’t personally believe that Depp should have been held legally or financially liable for Waldman’s statements, and I look forward to that verdict being challenged at appeal. However, I do still think the overall verdict that jurors delivered was consistent with the facts and evidence they were presented with in this case. At the end of the day, they weren’t presented with concrete proof that Heard and her friends had purposefully spilled wine and that really is how granular and relatively insignificant that particular defamation claim was. If the jury had access to the full recordings that the internet had access to, Depp’s defamation claim and Heard’s counterclaim both would have probably been ruled 100% in favor of Depp. But I understand why those pieces of evidence were excluded, because it becomes hearsay when 3rd parties are recorded.

Sad watching the opening statements of depp’s shyster/ambulance chaser. This is the first of many times the biased incompetent judge should have acted to shut down depp’s team. Never seen such unethical and unprofessional conduct by a judge or plaintiffs counsel. And let’s not forget, Even with all of the errors committed by the judge and the misconduct by depp’s shysters, Amber proved that Depp was an abuser. There was no defamation.
