I’m sick of sweetheart deals w/criminals. She was offered Manslaughter and time served in exchange for her testimony at his trial. Well hell’s bells, who wouldn’t take that deal I ask???? What’s wrong w/some of these lame prosecutors in this country??? Without her, Christine Banfield would still be alive! She wanted her dead. She wanted her life, her house, her child, her husband!!! So now they not only let her get away with Christine’s murder, but also the murder of the guy they we’re gonna frame as the killer!!!! Two murders and she’s going to be walking our streets free as a bird and able to do this again?! Deal’s should at least have a 20yr sentence for murder not “I’ll let you get away with murder”!!! I could just scream‼️

Magalhaes is directly responsible for the murder of Joseph Ryan and admitted to shooting him that second time while Ryan was on the floor struggling for his life. Christine Banfield would likely have been killed by her husband without Magalhaes help. The prosecutors likely did not have enough evidence to ensure a murder conviction for Magalhaes and chose to go with manslaughter as a sure thing. That said, I hope she gets the maximum of 10 years since she confessed to murdering Joseph Ryan as part of the plea bargain.

@lesliecas2695 Answer: Mortgage and, if they live in your house and get “room and board” you can pay Au Pairs practically nothing. (>15000 a year). It can become almost slavery with the wrong family.

Wasn't this so-called Au Pair literally finish up doing her nails when the cop(s) told her to come out and go downstairs? You can see her finish her nails in the BR and then throughout the video she has to hold her hands up with her fingers spread like a claw as someone might if the nails are wet. I rewound the video and she CLEARLY put what I believe is the nail polish on the bed. Is she in their master bedroom? It can't be her room. One last thing, remember that other au pair-husband story where the husband ends up unaliving himself and the au pair got a stiff sentence? In that case, the au pair has the same "I forgot xx" at the house and that's how she ends up back to the house "just in time" to catch the murder.

Why are criminals always so dumb and think they'll get away with it? They plan things, but then get caught on the stupidest things. Like everyone should know that blood spatter likely would tell that the body have been moved.. Or they bring their phone and try to lie about not being there even though the phone proves they were. Stupid things like that. Or the military guy who broke into women's homes, left shoe prints, and then wore the same shoes during the interrogation at the police station, while they showed him pictures of the prints.

Her demeanor reminds me of the woman who lured her husband out in the woods where her lover waited to ambush him, a tad bit redundant and excessive. But I believe the reverse in who may have been the driving force, the hubby may have wanted to have someone who he could get around with, somethinfg different than a wife who could get enough and simply walk away but what better than a younger woman from a different country who could want that life but consistsntly have him hold a threat of sending her home again. As a former tax officer myself I would expect someone posessing some amount of patience and resilience thus making a narrow, a very narrow, escape of what is usually suggested in so called crimes of passion.

I'm thinking about how the relationship between the husband and au pair first started? At some point they began flirting- who took the first move to become intimate? I belive the au pair did and the husband- who already stopped loving his wife before the au pair come, went happily along with it. No normal man that's emotionally mature, starts an affair with the au pair and certainly doesn't murder his wife in order to live with the nanny. 😠 The husband and, for sure!, the au pair as well have some kind of mental issues and she really seems like a lying b*** when she's putting up an act for the police. They triggered each other and they created a disaster. Terrible and sad how stupid grown ups can be! Now a little girl is without her mother and her father is a murderer.
