Lordy, Peter... now I'm just crying. Man I love you so much. I just have to tell you, I've found myself talking to multiple ppl in different addiction scenarios, whether it's the addict or the family members & friends of addicts, & I'll say "recovery & the different paths to it aren't always perfect. I watch a KZbinr who talks a lot about his recovery and he told a story of one is his first AA meetings where he wasn't really sure if this was for him, so he went to the back of the room to get some coffee & a woman asked you how you were finding the meeting. And her advice to you, after learning you weren't sure about it was "keep what works, forget the rest". I'm probably butchering the story & her exact words. But... it helps ppl when I tell them. So the ripple effect of your stories reaches farther than you know. 💙💙💙

Hey, john and GNT: GNT's dad Chris, was a first cousin to John's mom, Ann. Chris' dad Wayne and Ann's mom Doris were siblings. That makes Chris and Ann first cousins. And, the way I do the math, cousins go by generation. So, you'd be second cousins. Just like I am to all of you - second cousin. My grandma, Lorraine, was a sister to Wayne and Doris - and of course Wes, Herm, Harold, Mary, Russ, and Don.

It is interesting to see how all these religions and traditions are having strong and good moral attributes but let's face it the christian standards are only lasting if they are based on the word of God. Every other teaching changes with generations and life style.
