Chris, I've commented a little before on your lovely channel, and your replies have always been helpful. I have a Sunmaid 20 as you did. I can see why you prefer the perfectly formed and proportioned Sarah Anne. I took out the old cockpit on my Sunmaid and completely rebuilt it 3.5" higher, floor and seats, adding a 10" wide bridge deck. The first cut required an act of will, I can tell you. The process was highly enjoyable, and the results inside and out so much improves the boat. It's a fibreglass tub, but one of the best around. Other than that I build the occasional (small) plywood boat, once to my own design - nothing fancy, and there's nothing like the satisfaction it gives. That was a rambling way of saying how relatable this video is to me. Tasmania is a lovely place for a family with small boats (I've surveyed most of its harbours). maybe we'll end up there. All the best from South Australia.

Hi Robert great to hear from you again. I do like the Sunmaid hull for a trailer sailer. It’s a good starting point for a very capable little boat. Do connect with me through Patreon or Facebook or KZbin members. All of these are free of cost to you. I’d love to see photos of your work

I’d be interested in your thoughts on the H28. I’m looking into a wooden one (30ft version) possibly going for a sail on her next week. Will send you a link to the video when I post it. Cheers Chris

Really nice video. I am working hard to get my beautiful boat in the water she is an American Catboat about 14foot.6inch long and nearly 7 foot wide in the middle. That why the call them 2 to 1 boats. She was built by apprentices at Skol Ar Mor school in France last year. But me being me decided to make many alterations to her. I won't go into detail but it has taken nearly a year to do. What is it about wooden boats I just love them.

Thanks for connecting here. I’d love to see some photos. Would be great if you could help me start up a conversation in KZbin members. The catboats share similar DNA. Cheers Chris
