Great job Guys!, I had planed to build a monohull this coming year, but due to some location constraints been thinking of a Tangaroa, but as you said is very exposed to the elements on the deck.... this pod is awesome and makes me feel like the tangaroa design might work well. Thank you for this video and showing how things are going. Thumbs up!!

love you're videos. design and craftsmanship of the pod is very good. I can give you my experience with glassing, I have alot, im not telling you what to do, not trolling(too old for that sh*t), just helping you guys and anyone that reads this. Just a small tip. Ok, @ around 6.00mins pulling the peel ply the glass has alot of dry spots in it, should be ok though, next time wet the peel ply out more, soak more resin into it. to get the best resin to glass strength ratio, is to weigh the glass cloth that is required for a lay up, then use the same weight of resin/hardner and a little bit extra for the peel ply. always peel ply for outside surfaces, you don't even have to sand it just put fairing compound straight over the top, then sand that back to what you want. sorry for the rant, just wanna help.

Thanks! Are you a wharram lover? James specifically designed it so it would look 'sleek/sexy' as there are many wharrams out there that have huge cabins and extra things added on that just dont look good! We have had the pod for 2 years now and love it but it would have been nice if it was a touch wider but then we would have cut into more of the walk way. Thanks for your feedback :)

@SailingTangaroa6 жыл бұрын
Thankyou! We are very weight conscious and try to keep Tangaroa as light as possible, how ever after taking out the floor panels which weigh half of what the pod does and adding that little bit extra weight in the middle of the boat I don’t think it’s an issue at all and the benefits from the pod are going to be amazing! Yay some extra space under cover. Thanks for watching! H and J
