Apparently, the tree in Trafalgar Square is sent to us from Norway as a thanks for services during WW2, unfortunately, this one arrived in pretty poor condition and made the 10 o'clock news, which is sad for Norway, as the selection of the tree is a bit of an event according to the news. Really enjoying your vlogs, only 8 sleeps till Christmas yay!! 🎅🎄😁🤟

Another lovely wander around sparkling London! Thank-you, from Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦. My understanding is that the Trafalgar Square tree is an annual gift to England from Norway and that’s their traditional lights. This year’s tree does look a bit spindly though. Our experience has always been that the National Gallery general collection is free admission. There are donation boxes if you’re so inclined. Happy holidays, Hannah!

They paid so much for such a huge tree and then just put straight lights on it which makes the tree look half its width.. Shame! Oh... China Town.. I love China Town.. Could you vlog there to? Hi Hannah, Its the Norway tradition to hang the lights in a downward direction, rather than wrapped around the tree as we normally do it. In recent years I have thought the tree’s they send us have looked rather sad, and threadbare. I understand they had considered sending a replacement this year, as so many people complained. There is also the Christmas Market in Leicester Square, so Southbank, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square all in fairly close proximity.
