If you go to the Shard and take the lift to the 33rd or 52nd floor, where the restaurants and bars are, you can get a great view of the city for free. You don't have to go to the restaurant or bar, just walk around for the view.

Don't apologize for being a tourist in your own city. I grew up near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Every year we went on school trips to all the historic places and, of course, didn't really appreciate the significance. When I was older, I worked in an office building right in the center of all those places. I decided to become a tourist and visit those places again and really see them. This was about 48 years ago before vlogging. I have never been to London and am enjoying your tours. It's better than a documentary, it's more personal. Merry Christmas!

Hannah, I enjoyed the change to a more 'touristy' scene in your vlog today. While I have been up the Gherkin for work some years ago, I have not been to the Walkie Talkie.. so, the next time I'm in London, the Sky Garden would be a great place to visit when the weather is fine for great panoramic views of London. The Shangri-La hotel at the Shard serves Afternoon Tea at the Ting Restaurant on the 35th Floor. That would be a more contemporary, less traditional venue for Tea with fantastic London views, particularly when the weather is less manky. Hope you have a wonderful dinner out to celebrate the festive Christmas season. I'm guessing it will be at the Ivy Chelsea Garden.. how close is my guess 😏 ?

thank you so much for your vlog - I just showed it to one of my daughters who lived in London for three & a half years - luckily we are going to able to spend Christmas with her after covid testing and getting a border pass to get into Queensland. She used to work for a catering firm who worked in Norton Ross just behind town hall and then in Soho and then across the road from St. Paul’s cathedral - one time when we were visiting she got us tickets to the closing of The Tower of London - so many nostalgic memories.

Maybe I’m weird, but I do love these grey, gloomy days at times. Ok, maybe not in January, but in December when the Christmas lights shine through I think it creates a great atmosphere. Loved seeing the lights of Tower Bridge shining through the gloom😁🎄🎄

London at Christmas looks so much better at night than through the daytime, especially when the weather is dreary. The market looked great, could've gobbled some of them macarons. Sad were in Christmas week Hannah as there won't be many vlogs left, going to miss them 🎄🎅🤶😁👍
