Got the Visa from Swiss embassy in 4 days. 90 days validity I am a Canadian PR but applied from Delhi as my spouse is here only. We submitted documents for both of us since she is also working. VFS person scared us a bit, she mentioned you should have applied from Canada as you are not staying in India in the last 6 months. She gave one declaration form to me which they attached to my application, I just mentioned I am going on honeymoon so applying together here. I guess my US visa was also beneficial in this case. We attached all the original bookings.

You can travel to any Schengen country. But it’s easy during immigration if your first country is the one which gives you visa. Otherwise they may ask for internal travel tickets

Hi Amit, I applied for a Schengen visa via the Swiss Embassy back in January, 2024 along with my then to be wife and mentioned that I would be visiting France, Switzerland and The Netherlands. I had mentioned my then to be wife as a fiance in my cover letter and submitted the application for the both of us. Result: Rejected! I reapplied in March, 2024 via the France Embassy and furnished my marriage certificate as well and submitted all the documents to the dot. Result: Rejected! Any leads or assistance that may be of help?

Hi Thanks Haven’t heard about group insurance policy in Schengen visa. While submitting visa file they check individual insurance per member as per prescribed insurance amount. So take insurance individually

Hi Itinerary is attached after insurance and before your flight and other bookings. It form part of your travel documents.

You can attach. But their main reason of checking bank statement is to see that a regular monthly income is coming to your account from your employer/business

Hi Amit, My business visa has been refused. I was going to Rhodes Greece for a conference fully funded by my employer. Reason was point 10 justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable. I found my invitation letter just had my name and no passport details. This seems to be the main reason. I am also attaching my personal cover letter along with my employer this time and filled the online application this time. In online, hotel details are mandatory but not in offline editable PDF. What do you think?

Not necessarily. Even Switzerland and France give 1 month in many cases. But can also give limted duration visa.

Hi Since it can't be changed before appointment do 1 thing. Carry copy of your pan also and ask vfs people whether you should attach pan copy in your situation
