You know what nobody notices? How he lead them with tempo without running them over. Watch his eye and his visual cues. Sign of an absolute master. He lays back when he can tell they are dragging and pushes them back to tempo. Steps in and doesn’t make it about him, just the music. Knows how to push an ensemble. Danny is an absolute master musician.

I have to say this is one of the best things I've ever seen. Danny's softer approach in this performance was perfect!!! He led them like a perfect prog metal conductor, and would allow these kids to play as best as they could whilst keeping his drumming somewhat tame and leading the grand opus of this masterpiece all at the same time. Might seem easy to just smash them out but to play them in perfect tempo against the drummer for minutes on end isn't the easiest task even for the most trained guitarists. True timing is a hard skill to develop
