Great footage of that gobbler in the tree gobbling to find his buddies... Amazing how far those birds came for the second go round..Kevin did pretty good on the camera.. It's beautiful there in Iowa, thanks for sharing

I watch this video every year a few times. I feel as if this had no visual i could just listen to just the audio.

Man that was one of the best hunts ive ever seen and ive seen many. That morning gobbling and then calling those jokers in from that distance was absolutely nuts

I love that “white head march” through the woods! That was one of the best turkey hunts I’ve ever seen! Thanks for sharing!!

Iowa is my favorite state to hunt and this show illustrates why. A great NR hunter like Dave won't have to spend much time in the Iowa woods to tag out with a one bird limit. Another top notch release Dave.

Glad to see you making it to my home turf! Private land hunting is excellent here and the public land can be good as well! You guys taking these birds the way you did is like a collaborative video on how all my hunts were this year! Including calling a couple in from a half mile away for my daughter!!! Great Video!!

Great hunt. I love Iowa. I only hunted 30 minutes in IA before I filled my tag. A turkey hunter loves to get into an argument with a loud hen at daylight. Congrats

I think after one of the first gobbles you said it was a jake...how can you tell the difference between a jake and mature tom gobble ?
@pinhotiproject4 жыл бұрын
If you listen closely to that first gobble, it was followed by a jake "chalk" which is a deep coarse yelp. That's what I heard that let me know a jake was in the picture. If you're not familiar there is an instructional video I put together that hits on it much more in depth.
@ethanhartman15343 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure for young jakes their gobble can be a little short for some.

Iowa isn’t all Dave is cracking it up to be. Don’t bother putting in for a NR tag. 😁

For sure right about that. Freakin $300 for 1 Turkey tag that you have to draw for. No thank you. And I have family up there.
