When installing a LSA, there are 2 MAP and 1 IAT sensor. Terry shows which MAP sensor is needed and which is not, and how to separate the IAT sensor from the MASS to create a IAT connector for the LSA brick... Check it out...

The red sensor on the lid is the map sensor. The one towards the front of the engine reads ambiant air pressure

I always enjoy your video's Terry, thanks for doing them. I know you have some of your own lingo, like calling the snout a snoot, lol, but you may be confusing some people by referring to the lid as the brick. Most people call the little radiator like heat exchanger in the lid the brick. I am sure you know this but maybe someone reading the comments might not and this may clear things up for them. All the love brother, keep these coming.

You are the LSA master! When it comes to tuning, are you planning a video on how it's done? I have been successful street tuning my last 3 ls swap projects but they have very minor bolt on's (cold air & long tube headers). It would be insane to see how to tune using the factory computer with this setup. Thank you for your knowledge, and keep on kicking ass bud!

Good info, Terry. Those Gates 3/4" hoses with 90 degree bends really clean up the plumbing along with some Billet Specialties hose separators. But hold up man... You're gonna do a TBSS next? You've got too many projects! Make me a deal on one of those classics so you can free up some room!

So do you completely remove the two wires from the 5 pin harness and connect to the zl1 harness ? Or do you just splice in to the two wires and leave the pins plugged into the stock harness ?
@Coverman66
@Coverman66 4 жыл бұрын
i worked with Ballenger motorsport to create the Coverman Special. its a simple plug and play harness. check it out www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/4290 www.bmotorsports.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?x=0&y=0&search_in_description=1&keywords=coverman66 let me know what you think..

So you cut the AIT wires out of the MAF plug completely, or did you just Y into it with the additional two wires. Sorry for the question I just couldn’t really tell in the vid if they were cut from the actual MAF sensor
@Coverman66
@Coverman66 5 жыл бұрын
i got the connector for the iat and separated the mass and iat and made 2 connectors.. Ballenger makes a connect call the Coverman Special www.bmotorsports.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?x=0&y=0&search_in_description=1&keywords=coverman

Hi Terry, your reply was confusing... Are you DELETING the IAD in the MAF, and just using the IAT in the LID ? You’re not using both.

I was cleaning my supercharger blades with some awesome just giving him a really good scrub to get the carbon off them I noticed that when I spend the pulley my supercharger doesn't spin as fast as before I clean the blades just a little difference is that something to be worried about
@Coverman66
@Coverman66 7 жыл бұрын
whats good Shoe.. sorry for the delay in response.. sometime you have to take a rubber mallet and strike the nose.. the front where the pulley attaches to the blower.. if it gently but firm to remove anything that got caught in the gears.. you have to do the same thing when you remove and replace the isolator to re seat the lobes.. keep me posted on the build brotha..

on the intake of the 5.3 there is a connector for the map sensor.. it should click in the map sensor that comes with the brick.

coverman66 hi Terry, I was able to do more research and it turns out the gto IAT wires start from the other side. Also, I was able to find a harness online that is able to connect to the maf and have a separate wire plug to the IAT sensor. Thanks anyway. This video helped a lot.
