After months of installing, fabricating and testing the 71 LSA equipped Chevelle finally goes back to the Dyno to see how much power the LSA will make. The Chevelle has a stock bottom end LY6 that has been cammed, thats it.. check i out..

Bro you need to show the Hot Rod network on how to make some more hp on Lucky's Chevelle. You beat them with more hp and less money, these people got a bank to build cars. Go ahead and put your application in to become a tech advisor/ host.

Just got an LY6 shipped to me on yesterday. I got the idea from you in this video to do an LY6/LSA swap. I plan on running this set up in my 87 Iroc. Lance Is a good brother. He’s handling all my LSA needs. I’ll be calling on you for some info in doing this swap. I’m not a mechanic at all, but I’m learning.

@@Coverman66 Hi Terry! Thanks for the positive info and inspiration! Hey I have a question about rear-end gears(hope that's cool).... You mentioned in one of your videos, "if you're spinin' you ain't winnin'"....Do you think 3.08's in my 70 Chevelle with a LSA/4L75 with 275/60R15's would be a good combination? (556hp/551ftlb). Would 3.08's limit a lot of spinning but still be capable of launching well (and maybe a little bit of a smoke show)?

I’m 77 years old, and have been wrenching on my own car since I was 17. I bought a 69 Chevelle all Original metal, no motor, after seeing your videos. Have installed an L96 motor and a built 4L65e . Just set my LSA in place. Need some help with what sensors go where, and vacuum lines. Where can I find a schematic for that? Keep up the great vids. Thanks. Keith

I wanted to let you know that I'm actually going with the same set up that you have for my 96 ss. I was going with the ls3 but after watching all of your videos and especially the video where you explained the ls engines. That's when my mind was mind up. I literally watched your video at a minimum of 3-7 times a day while at work. I definitely wanted to make sure that, ly6/lsA is my setup and it is. So with that being said thank you my brother and keep me posted and the videos coming.

Those numbers are awesome Terry! I found your videos on Facebook last year - I think through the Pro-Touring/Lateral-G groups - and just now found your dyno video. I swapped an LSA on my LS3 SS sedan with the 6 speed auto - I hit 553 rwhp with stock cam, stock lsa pulley - and your right - for about 3 grand you can't beat that performance of the HP/$! Keep up the great videos!

Its done for now. Denali 6.2 AWD w/ TVS1900, LS9 cam, Kooks headers no cats, comp trunnions, big trans cooler. I do have a bad lifter tick so when I get time to take care of it, I'm going to stroke to 418 and add the BTR spec'd cam thats been sitting on my workbench for a year. Maybe do some head work. No AWD dyno around here, but it'll put a smile on your face.

I am in the process of wanting to do a build 1970-1972 Chevelle with a hard or soft top with either a CTS-V engine or an LY6 something that can be evolved and pushed to limits. I like your videos and they are very informative as well, so for bang for buck I see your are recommending the LY6, but what about the CTS-V engines with mid to high mileage being rebuilt to suit needs and wants. Can you please hand me some good info or should I just go basic 454 and leave it at that? The reason for my questions is because I want to do an LSX but get to see that there are better engines options for basic running around town and having fun smoking tires and clowning fools when they act up. SHUT...I ever scene a AWD 1970-ish Chevelle video smoking tires and handling big time having fun too.

Roots superchargers live well at low rpm's. Your tuner can do wonders if you run E85 but finding consistent alcohol content is tough. It differs from brand to brand and summer blend to winter blend. With the right PCM and alcohol sensor, it should add another 100 hp.

Fun fact: The horsepower and torque always cross over at 5250 even if peak torque were at 7000 or something. It all has to do with the way horsepower is calculated.

Terry, congrads man! I know a build can feel like a lifetime. Do you think the cam made that big of a difference? I have an lq4, stock, waiting to drop an lsa on it and trying to decide how crazy I need to build it. Thanks for the awesome build videos man. You're the reason I picked up an LSA.

thanks for the compliment DH..i was surprised with the numbers, the cam is a custom grinds from EPS and yes the cam is great but it wasnt build for a SC engine, the tuner said that the cam he would of spec for me would of been almost identical.. so i got lucky lolol keep me posted with your build and if you have any questions feel free to reach out..

I just bought a 08 ly6 for my TRAILBLAZER SS. So i still have the ls2 block in my truck but the heads are sold. Should i just cam the ly6 or put the L92 heads on the ls2 block with a cam. I am also having the L92 heads milled down .030 and hand porting the heads and throttle body by a local Performance Shop. So what is better for my 420awhp goal? Ls2 vs Ly6... (Im planning on spraying a 250 shot of nitrous in the near future, the truck already has a built 4L70e matched with a 4400 Billet torque converter with ballooning plate)

Im looking for budget power(400+hp) with some reliability. I was leaning towards the iron block lm7 5.3, but am ate up with all of the options. In your opinion, what do you think is the best for my situation? Thanks!

Have you looked into the boost activated Loud valves? I've seen Sloppy and others use them on boosted rigs and have nice gains. Sound mean too. And you can always have a shutoff so they stay closed.
