That first adventure player hurts so much to watch. Why tf would you waste a double wish on cards that expensive? You basically give your opponent extra turns if you dont get cards you can play the same or next turn you tutor them.

By the way, Ugin can kill ANY serpent. CMC of seprent is always 0 when it's on the battlefield. Doesn't matter how much you paid for it when casting it.

@@st0mpy77 no one reaches magic by just that. You need to know how to pilot your deck, also, mythic as a lot of players just trying things out since they are already in mythic, so maybe he was trying adventures out but reached mythic in other deck.

In 10:22 you can see the the borrower (and it's copy) target the Battra. What if one mutates Sea-Dasher Octopus *on top* of it? Will it be a different creature, therefore let borrower (and it's copy) fizzle, since the chosen target does not exist anymore?

I think you had lethal at 34:15. If you mutated the shoreshark in hand onto the nightbonder and bounced the secret keeper, you would have gotten 5 extra damage in.

Oh I knew what was coming and that I was getting destroyed! I didn't have a clue how to cope. Bouncing CGB's bat stack would just let him get to do it all over again. It was me, taking a moment's breath to signal "Hello CGB!", although it came so late in the game I'm not sure he recognized it as such.

Why are there still issues with the art from the Adventure creatures? Eldraine has been on Arena for almost a solid year and still the basic art will often show up on the stack with the showcase border. I don't get it.

Thanks. That was me, and I was in a panic wondering how to cope. It was only the second time I faced a similar deck, and the first time I got off easy having the tools to mill the opponent for 36 in one turn - of course not until after I had earned that bouncing with the Borrower just let my opponent do their stuff all over again. In what was my first game ever getting the pleasure to play CGB, you can tell I was flustered by my misclicked attack-all that, yes, I did regret, but not sure I wouldn't have lost the following turn anyway. Run Afoul is going in, thanks! Glad to see CGB's laugh at my delayed "Your Go", even though at that late stage of the game it wasn't clear that it was because I knew the code for a proper "Hello CGB!"

when you play petty theft with clover out, the game lets you decline the copy. Why is this? Nothing says may. and If you decline, the borrow still goes to the graveyard. I don't understand why.

Saw this several times today, while farming my 15 wins, using CGB's white lifegain deck... come to CGB's channel, and understand why :) Just now starting to watch the video, but I owned every single game with CGB's white weenie lifegain deck, and had about 60% win rate versus clover, so I'll probably stick to white lifegain, for now. About to watch the video though, maybe will try the deck...

It's a companion slot, so it's pretty much a free card for your deck that you can get access to. a 4 cost 4/5 when you get mana flood is still playable.

For example there is a flash instant that gives hexproof to one of your creatures. That could mess up with their borrowers and crushers. And having one or two counterspells in the deck can be great for zenith flares.

@@arknight2232 The point is that companions have restrictions. For Umori to be your companion it must be the case that "Each nonland card in your starting deck shares a card type". For CGB to use Umori as a companion, all his cards have to be creatures. He can't play good counter spells and he can't play Starlit Mantle (which I think would be a killer vs adventure decks).
