@@jimmydotzelsecond ability says when one or more tokens enter under your control you gain a live and drain everyone for 1. “One or more” meaning even if 20 tokens enter it only counts for 1. For the card to work how it was played in the video, it would need to say whenever a token enters the battlefield do the thing.

Worst rules mistake I've seen in the game? Maybe letting mono-red aggro be a thing? :D It was a fun game to watch. And I agree with some of the comments in that this deserves a rematch.

It’s whenever “one or MORE” tokens enter each opponent loses 1 life. When he made 22 tokens they should have all lost ONE life, not 22 as they were not individual triggers.

This is on top of all the other times Kambal copied two tokens at a time and got 2 drains instead of one.

The worst rules mistake we’ve had lately at our table is with the new fallout mothman commander. We were playing it as whenever a player mills a card, put that many 1/1 counters on a target creature. Didn’t take long for us to realize that. But some cards really do need to be read carefully, or if something seems to be broken as hell maybe give it a double check to see if it’s being used properly lol. After watching this it makes me wish that actually how Kambal worked.

After first seeing Kambal for the first time I instantly knew it would be broken if it worked like this. Think of all the easy token generating shenanigans and cards like call the coppercoats. It would be way too broken at 3 mana so that should already ring some bells.

I'm enjoying the group becoming more comfortable in front of the camera. And as far as misplays, I don't think I've ever played a game where we adhered, let alone, understood the rules 100%. I guess that would be my rule 0. If the group consents, then I'm content.

Ive definitely won many a game playing Sphinx of the second sun wrong and using all of my newly untapped mana in my second main phase. I only found out more recently I was playing it very incorectly and probably winning a bunch more games because of it. In my defense its worded very strangely!

One of the worst rules mistakes that I can remember won me a game (it was actually against a local magic youtube creator). I made a clone of an opponents Mirkwood Bats and then won the game when someone board wiped my Avenger of Zendikar plant tokens, didn't realize the Bats didn't trigger off of token creatures dying until a couple months later.

Just curious, when the seer got exiled by lord skitter, wouldn’t targeting it causes Gissa to create the zombie tokens first and Kambal should’ve created the zombie token before the rat?

I'm fairly certain even if the Skiitter trigger resolves before Kambal's does he would still get the rat since the ability triggered when the rat ETB'd and thus even though he technically doesn't have the rat yet when the zombie's come in the ability can't trigger a second time so the zombie's come in then Kambal's triggered ability finally resolves creating a rat.

The rat entered the battlefield first, this triggered both Skitter and Kambal. Skitter then exiled the seer, triggering Gisa. Gisa's zombies couldn't trigger Kambal because it had already triggered.

He might have actually been able to ko the table with the play he did on the last turn even if they had played the triggers correctly. His opponents wouldnt have been at quite as low life totals if they had played it correctly before then and he would have had to recast the commander after it got killed by the Bowmaster but the afterlife triggers would have been around 30 individual triggers from Kambal which would have been at least close to killing the table.

The second part is worded fine and there are plenty of cards that have the exact phrasing "one or more". The first part is another common wording on magic cards but I HATE that they mention the effects happening only once per turn is put after the effect.
