I don't think I've ever seen Vihaan not go a LITTLE crazy, but it's usually with a massive army of constructs and not just the treasure's ETB effects

It's the vigilance on the tokens that scares me, being able to attack, block/sac with the treasures always leads to some pretty explosive blow outs

Tbf these games happen. I've opened Sol ring (insert mana rock) plenty of times to drop my 5+ CMC commander 2-3 turns early and stomped a game b/c of it. I've also built decks where I think, ehh this OP card (smothering tithe) can go in it is fine since the rest of the deck isn't op and it's gone off insanely well. There is always a chance you draw the nuts and your opponents don't' have the answers

Aristocrats and lifelink. Sacrificing treasures for mana is an activated ability so Teysa won't double them

Not sure why people are getting upset here. Maybe there was a small glimmer of hope that someone was going to top deck something but Maddy was so far ahead of everyone that she was probably winning in the next turn or two depending on her ability to make treasures to attack with. I've been in plenty of games like this where someone got so far ahead so fast that everyone knew it was pretty much over and went for the funny play before shuffling up and moving to the next game. I could understand if Jim and Aaron had board states and were threats to take over themselves but they had almost nothing going while Shivam's deck relied heavily on card draw which only puts Maddy's deck further ahead.

What Shivam did was so frusterating. I get swinging with Toski because you have to and giving a couple of treasures are going to happen. Turn 1 Sol Ring is crazy, but you sometimes have to sit and do less to be able to come back, I guess at an LGS we say switch decks and shuffle up for the next game. Maybe a bad take, but I think sharing this game as a secondary game would be funny like Goldfish did when Richard brought the adnaus combo deck a few weeks ago, but having this as the lone game just shows how bad "casual" can be sometimes.

@@TheSpikeFeeders I mean you guys typically upload one game play a week and for casual a single game. Same way as mtggoldfish for commander, a few weeks ago Richard brought a deck that combos on turn 6, yes very different deck because in this game Goldwaker was extremely lucky I doubt the deck was unfairly built or overpowered for the table just lucky. Richard won the first game turn 6, but they proceeded to play another game because they understand a 6 turn game isn't what they're usually shooting for in casual settings. Seeing the game ended turn 5 and not shuffling up to play another felt something had been stolen from the casual experience. This happens in LGSs regularly and is the reality of casual commander, so not a knock on you all, but surprising that you wrap up there.

Shouldn't Shivam... have only drawn 8 cards? Toski's effect is universal to Shivam's board, so Toski, Selkie & the 3rd creature each draw 2 cards {6} then Selkie's ability draws 2 cards {8}. Did I miss something as to how Shivam drew two extra cards or was he just excited? 😅

Yes, Toski had an Aura that triggered on combat damage, draw a card, which was also doubled by Felix.

Disappointing. Attacking w ZERO mana up to draw 8+cards made ZERO sense. Just doing something to do something is illogical and wasted everyone else’s time who played responsibly. Doing nothing is a valid option/strategy in the right circumstances. Does he just play into known board wipes too? Smh.
