Shigeki might just be my favorite card that's been printed in years, it's such a unique effect and he even works in commander since he has a built way to bounce himself to hand, this deck plays pretty similarly to my commander deck that just stalls and then recurs the whole graveyard each turn

Im definitely a Simic gamer. My first deck ever built was a copy based deck revolved around altered ego. Been trying this one out except i cut a few cards and added 3 behold the unspeakable. I find it to fit this deck really well, it stalls, draws, and can hit hard once you start looping your draw effects especially with sea gate. It is also a great recursion target, and keeps the fuel going for your deck! Try it out fellow simic gamers

Playing today, I encountered someone with this deck and managed to get a Kaya emblem before they could start with the Koma shenanigans. It was satisfying to see my opponent try to fight through that. I prevailed eventually, but it speaks to the power of the deck that they could've still had it. They missed some opportunities to pin down planeswalkers with that first Koma ability.

I started using my field of ruin on the first red source played by naya runes because I knew they were all playing your list with no mountains in it, it took about 2 weeks of that to start seeing basic mountains come out lol.

@@guillermobarro Correct, you cast glasspool from hand. However, it only transforms into a copy of cyclone summoner once it enters the battlefield. I would think the bounce condition is to cast cyclone summoner from hand. Unless I know nothing of rules and it still works that way

Slogurk/eccentric farmer and Channel lands... That's a brew. It's pretty much Simic/mono green, but splash for the channel lands and doomskar. It's a lot of fun, and infinite channel lands can get pretty good. It's gotten me into mythic this season, and still holds a ~60% winrate in 95-99% mythic.

I agree on the fact that Simic starts at a huge disadvantage in 2022 standard, and I reviewed the cards currently available before replying. I found a couple of cards that may partially solve the issues you're talking about, namingly Consuming Tide and Slogurk. Slogurk in particular has surprised me a lot with channel lands, especially if a deck includes two copies of each one. I know this sounds confusing but it becomes much clearer once you see the mechanics in action: that card is nearly untouchable and grows really, really fast while synergising with the graveyard recursion theme. By the way, slightly off topic but I feel New Capenna will push Bant a lot - I could be wrong of course, this is just a feeling. Maybe the deck will benefit a splash of white after the new set releases?

Ain't that the truth. I gave this deck a spin and boy, it was a looong grind against my last game against Azorious control. I had to rely so much on my manlands and channeling to get around their pesky countermagic and bringing said manlands back to hand with channeling and bounce effects. The win was satisfying, though.

Hey CGB! I love all your content and have been watching almost all your videos for over a year. I just noticed one thing that maybe changed at some point that I find annoying: the add banner that pops up across the bottom of the screen which covers the cards in your hand and doesn't go away until I click the X. Not sure if this is an AdSense setting you can change but it would be nice to remove it. The commercials before the video starts are fine. Keep doing what you do!!
