I 12 fold a handkerchied and pin it horizontaly on inside of my home made mask. It blocks area under eyes and also below nose level and sides. I think it has given me a lot of protection so far

24 days is an outlier. 5.1 days is the median.

Rather than concerning yourself w/the incubation period of two weeks-like we’ve all been told, think about evolution. The strains of COVID-19 that were killing people were also killing the virus. Not good for viral survival. It’s not always survival of the fittest but more like “survival of the fit.” What’s going to BEST ensure COVID-19’s survival? Longer incubation periods! It’s only a matter of time before such a viral-life-preserving mutation occurs-if it hasn’t already. One cannot be too careful.

They appear to be specifically designed for N95 protection of *the wearer* but have what is effectively an open, unfiltered(?) valve for exhalation. If I'm correct, these could cause the breath and aerosol to be exhausted through a smaller hole, at higher speed, effectively *increasing* the range of virus shedding. Discuss?
