COVID-19 is on the rise with wide-ranging symptoms

The number of COVID-19 infections in New Jersey has nearly doubled the number over early June. In New York City, rates have risen by about 250% from the previous two months. While COVID-19 infection numbers are still relatively low compared to the numbers during peak infection, new variants of the coronavirus -- called FLIRT variants -- have found a way to evade immunity.

I just got over covid, and have had 19 people in my circle who have had it in the last month and a half…and we are all over the country and contact is virtual. We’ve had deaths in our community this summer and those facilities are under quarantine. You’re probably a person who will get the symptoms, but at they aren’t killing you, you will pass it on to people you know…who won’t know they were exposed. During prodrome one is most contagious and those people will pass it on to coworkers and older family members. Your ignorance kills people.

This illness definitely was not milder than when I first got it back in 21. These symptoms hit haaard! The nausea the dizziness the aches, we’re next level for me. I thought I could get up and do dishes or vacuum but nah aaah! Broke out in a sweat n needing to sit down quickly. You get these false bursts of energy that suck you in to thinking you’re fine. I also wasn’t peeing often too, even though I was drinking a fair amount of water. Just rest, sleep and don’t do too much. It’s been 7 days since contracting and our whole house got it, 7 of us all to varying degrees, my wife and I more severe than the kids. Stay well yaalll

Agreed. I have never had covid before but I got it two weeks ago and was sick as a dog. I'm still on the mend and definitely "not just a cold" as some would like to believe. Husband has had covid twice and it was NOTHING for him. Everyone is different.

This is my second time around and the symptoms are very different, gastrointestinal pains are bad, also very bad joint pain, earache, headaches & fatigue. Mainly the pain in my gut is really bad... God willing we can all recover from these man made viruses 🙏 😊 ❤

I am still recovering , and it was pretty awful. The worst sore throat , lost my voice and sense of smell, fever and chills, severe fatigue and awful post nasal drip that made me cough like crazy. The coughing gave me headaches and worsened TMJ. Now , after nearly 3 weeks, I get fatigued easy and have to rest. Last summer I had it , and it gave me the worst pain over my kidneys and my face broke out in a rash. It's a horrible illness.

@@Gigi89427of course their immune system was activated…that’s how we fight off disease. I’m not giving anyone the full courses on immunology, as I paid a great dead of money for those and they took years. However, I will let you know that “memory” cells which are certain IgG beta cells identify the illness if one has had it before. This is during prodrome, then the marines IgM come to clean up. It’s far more complex, as there is inactivation to macrophages cleaning up. ALL of us who have had covid have IgG activation…it’s how our body identifies and uses antibodies we made the first time we had the illness or vaccine. Three weeks isn’t abnormal for the timeframe to recover from the fatigue from these variants. It’s actually the mean (average) time that people are reporting. So some will be longer in their recovery.
