Teaching is an art where the teacher/instructor perceives how the student's mind works so that he might tailor his presentation to get through. With poor teachers, another student often has to act an interpretor between a student question and the instructor. Dr. Campbell is a gifted teacher. He even anticipates one's question!

If we don't stop the spread, 2 strains of covid will likely be circulating in an outbreak area, and it undoubtedly means that if people go to the hospital with one strain, they will get the other, which I assume makes it more deadly. Wash your hands, clean your phone, don't touch your eyes/nose/mouth after touching a public surface, stay home if you are sick, and do your best to stay arms distance from people (don't get so close you can smell what they ate for lunch- there will be tiny droplets that you will likely be inhaling). I'm getting very tired of people who don't understand WHO. Their primary mission is not to cure anything; WHO is a political organization, a branch of the U.N., to encourage countries to work together in times of medical emergency ... '.... that said, it's not true (2nd thoughts). Their primary job is to gather and disseminate medical information from countries around the world. Then [reinsert emergency sentence]. WHO can't do their job if China loses face and then refuses to share any information. Retired librarian , Michigan P.S. For that matter Dr. C. is far too kind to China IMHO, but he knows science politics too.

Thank you, Dr. Campbell. Appreciate the explanations of mutations, but mutations are not evolution in the sense that new information is acquired resulting in an increasingly complex organism. This is analogous to antibiotic resistance where the pathogen mutates but doesn’t actually gain genetic information - it merely becomes altered as a result of exposure to antibiotics. This alteration or change only makes one type resistant to the medicine - dangerous to a susceptible host but the germ itself isn’t more “advanced” compared to its previous iteration.

To Mike X: Scientists around the world share genome sequences on an online database. These scientific papers are also published online. They are all subject to peer review. There is a lot of information carried within the genome sequences. If some scientists "lie", they will eventually be "caught". This is the beauty of science.

My husband had a follow-up surgery planned for Monday. We called the Doctor to ask if they had any new procedures based on CoVID19. He said they didn't. We then mentioned our concern for being exposed to virus in surgery. The Doc said it was a valid concern and that we were wise to ask. The surgery has been postponed until hospital procedures can catch up to current conditions of pandemic. Literally, we are weighing one health issue with that of the virus and the lack of knowledge is causing treatment delays.
@BRUtahn4 жыл бұрын
Unless the hospital is in on the West coast or near New York, I'd say you're probably better off to get it done sooner rather than later, before the virus becomes much more prevalent and the hospitals are way too busy and they start delaying elective surgeries indefinitely.

Without testing, we don't know what flu or pneumonia patients are actually this CoVid19. We don't.. This is the graph that has a slow rise, then goes exponentially vertical. VestaLouise Basically, the virus has developed keys 🔑 that fit perfectly into your body’s lock 🔒, which gives it access to enter you and multiply inside you. The virus is working overtime to upgrade its keys to stay locked harder onto you. The virus also has two strains, S and L. S is milder, L is more virulent and more contagious.
